I think Martinez would beat him with no problem. 154 was not Oscar's best weight. Oscar beat a Vargas that had been ruined by Trinidad but other than Vargas Oscar really had no big wins at 154. The ageless Martinez is faster and hits harder than the 154 pound Oscar. I think Oscar deserved the win over Mosley at 154 but Mosley's best weight was not 154 either.

As to how Martinez would win I think he would win most of the rounds with better speed, combinations and better power. Oscar had a very good left jab and left hook but not much of a right hand. Martinez has more power in both hands. Oscar took a good punch so he probably lasts the distance but Martinez might get the KO.

I'd say de la Hoya by UD. Why? At 154 de la Hoya wasn't as good as he was at 147, but he was still good. In the beginning anyways. When he fought Vargas & the rematch with Mosley. Martinez is fast, & has power, but Oscar had a hell of a chin, Martinez has a good chin too, but not as good as oscars. I see somewhat of a chest match at first, then Oscar being more aggressive & Sergio trying to counter. At the end they'd go toe to toe landing somewhat evenly, but Oscar with with the slight edge, ending in a UD/MD for de la Hoya. I don't see a SD. What do you guys think?

I actually like Martinez in this fight. Oscar's best at 154 was against Vargas (who obviously was no push over at all). Oscar though never faced anyone at 154 with the movement, speed, power Martinez even at 154 had. Mind you as well, Martinez was fighting bigger guys even at 154 then moved up to 160 to fight an even bigger guy in Pavlik. I would've loved to have seen it, but I actually like Martinez in that fight.

The Martinez that fought Bunema would beat ODLH. I have no doubts in my mind.

Martinez. Oscar would have some success with the jab, but otherwise Martinez would be too fast, offer too much movement. I see Martinez landing more throughout the bout, moving out of range when needed, turning him and getting the UD.

A chess match that Oscar would win. These days Oscar's knowledge and skill in boxing are overshadowed by his clownish nature he shows as a promoter. The guy could fight. Martinez would give him trouble with the speed endurance and power but I think it's a puzzle Oscar would figure out.

ODLH Unanimous Decision. Though it would be pretty close.

I would pick Oscar esp before the Mosley robbery before he became a part time fighter.
