They're not doing it "for him", they're doing it for themselves and to keep the belt in GBP property. This is corrupt business decision that obviously protects GBP and their interests, probably to match Peterson with Khan if he loses to Lucas to make Khan a "champ". Peterson sells tickets and people will be very hyped for a Khan rematch even with a Lucas lossI just don't get why they would do this for Peterson of all people. Maybe they're trying to give it to Kahn or Garcia so he woul have all the belts. It might seem crazy but Everyone loves a brawler do if I was gbp, id try to put really get behind matthysse and make something out of him.Comment

Watch the fight and ask yourself if Lucas looked 160... It's that simple.
If Showtime posted that he was 170 you'd probably believe that too lol.Comment

Swap Lucas and Lamont for Donaire and Rigo, GBP for Arum, SHO for HBO, and make the fight at 123 pounds.....and let's see if Dempsey Rollin, Shoulder Roll, Kev et all would be so philosophical about it. These guys would be calling Arum the devil.
I don't hold stocks in belts either but you can't just shrug your shoulders when something so blatantly shady is being done in front of your eyes.
I mean, a catchweight at 141. Lol.Comment

It's only a screwjob if he wins and doesn't get a crack at Garcia's 140 pound titles afterwards.Comment

It's definitely corrupt, and a perfect example of what's wrong with the sport, but GBP isn't doing it to screw Matthysse. At least I don't think so.Swap Lucas and Lamont for Donaire and Rigo, GBP for Arum, SHO for HBO, and make the fight at 123 pounds.....and let's see if Dempsey Rollin, Shoulder Roll, Kev et all would be so philosophical about it. These guys would be calling Arum the devil.

Sulaiman has said that Garcia must give up one of the belts.
