Don't worry, in 2 weeks this post will be completely irrelevant.

Besides isn't canelo like making his 154lb debut??

Yup, which is further proof he can't be a healthy 154.

If Martinez has distributed any signs of struggling to make weight, then I would say ok.. he might have trouble making 154. But there is no indication that he will have difficulty losing 4 pounds from the weight he knocked out Paul Williams at.

There's no indication, and Martinez himself said he would go to 154 to fight Floyd. So what's the problem?

I would give Floyd full credit for this fight and I'm sure everyone else would too because we all want to watch fight Floyd an elite level opponent.
He weighed 157 against Macklin and Williams II, he would only have to lose 3 pounds really.

The real reason why this fight won't happen is because of the GBP/HBO conflict. Mayweather's comments make no sense btw.

Well, when you were dominating at 21, Sergio was beating up guys in other countries making others respect him. At that time he was 23 and getting his training on the job while you were working off of your amateur career and presence in the Olympics.

Where were you when Mosley was 23 Floyd?

                    Mayweather vs. Martinez

What about a Marquez-Rios fight? Rios will easily out weigh Marquez by 10-15 lbs and we would expect Marquez to face Rios if it is permitted; maybe not for a belt but I think it's a good payday.

I always believed it was generally accepted some fighters gain 10-15 lbs between weigh-in and fight night.

Martinez has a contract with HBO for his next three fights.
