What about CI Velazquez, what happened there? I've been asking forever, nobody ever answers why he was out so long. I see he fought a few months back.

If it's them, they left to Miami & both last fought sometime last year & have been M.I.A ever since.. It's a shame cause they were really talented(especially Carlos Ivan) .. Carlos Ivan beat Gamboa & went on to win Gold in the Central American & Caribbean Games in Colombia & started fighting pro before Gamboa & ironically look at where Gamboa is & Carlos Ivan is nowhere to be found!

Yes, I was asking about Carlos Ivan, he was looking awesome before disappearing for 2+ years. His brother wasn't as good, but together they impressed me more than the Arroyo twins, that's for sure.

This is really a shame! The guy is talented as hell and nobody has bother to go get him out of where he is. I have heard some rumors about the reason he doesn't fight but I am not sure its true. Either way, shame on those who can help!

They are plenty of prospects but they have been rushed. Look at Dolurme and Devalle. Not even 20 fights and they in there with top opposition. It is like it is in panic mode and it should not be.

But there was a time that there was always a few champions even if they were not great. Now there is one and he is not that good. Only the future will say how these guys are going to develop

Neither Vic nor Abregu were contenders in the division. Still a big step for both guys no doubt.

I'm interested in what you heard, but understandable if you'd rather not spread unreliable info. Not sure why the major promoters aren't jumping in to get him back in. PR prospects are very valuable to promoters, and IMO this guy is better than Velez, Dulorme, etc.
