Absolutely true. I had an opportunity to interview Dulorme at the Escuela de los Deportes in Carolina and asked him about his heritage and he replied not knowing why some people didn't consider him Puertorican since he, not only had represented P.R. in every fight, he has been living in P.R. since he was 5 and has NEVER considered himself to be anything but Puertorican. BTW... Let's not forget about Braulio Santos. So far, dude's showing alot of promise.

U'r right & Miguel Cotto was born in Rhode Island, but the difference between García & Benitéz & Cotto is that Cotto & Benitéz came to Puerto Rico as babies & were raised on the Island & EVERYTHING they ever did & accomplished in boxing(as amateurs & pros) & out of boxing was for Puerto Rico & ONLY represented Puerto Rico & not anywhere else.. As a matter of fact Dulorme who was born on the French side of the Island of St.Maarten & his parents are from Dominican Republic came to Puerto Rico as a very young kid & has represented & done more for Puerto Rico in & out of boxing than García or most peope of Puerto Rican descent in the u.s. or anywhere else in the world & We have accepted Dulorme as one of our own & We will always support him.. & he(Dulorme) has been asked that question(of who does he represent) & he said all he knows is about Puerto Rico & all his friends & loved are here & everything he's ever done & has is here in Puerto Rico, so he says he,ll ALWAYS represent ONLY Puerto Rico & that he considers himself to be Puerto Rican..Now that's a tru BORICUA to the heart!!!

I'm from pr born n raised till mid to late teens and I support Danny 100% atleast he has our blood. Of course he will rep phhilly he was raised there but he also has love for his roots he always has the pr flag on his trunks look at both Morales fights and khan I think he has them near the back of the trunks. Also who cares if he's only mentioned pr once hes still mentioned that he reps us also. As for the ppl on the island not all are like u n don't support him hell there was an article on a pr news paper months ago and they said he's one of us Danny posted it on Twitter . Just cause some on v the Islam's don't consider him Boricua who gives a fuuckk who says there more Boricua than to say me ir others that support him.

The lack of trainers in P.R has hurt boxing over there. But I dont believe it will last long , I believe its more of an adjustment period. We have to find ways to evolve. Its just like everything. Boxing in P.R is stuck. But I laugh at people who say P.R is in trouble as a boxing country.

We are behind Mexico who I believe is currently producing great talent and winning big fights and U.S.

1st Mexico
2nd U.S
3rd P.R. Just because of the prospects and history is there. We are in a slump. But its not like we are put of the picture.

Its been the same 3 places on top for a while. And it remains that way until something drastic happens.

I believe by saying P.R has fallen dramatically we are taking away from Mexicn fighters and how good they are doing and also U.S. They are simply getting the job done and we are not.

Yeah... His only flaw so far is that he is also trained by Bonilla. Now, I will say that at this point in his career, Bonilla is the right trainer but, if he wants to remain relevant, he'll have to pull a "Del Valle" move in the near future. Can't forget about Jose Pedraza. "The Sniper" had a great amateur career and is being taken the right way to the top... so far. Being from P.R., I can only hope for better things to come for P.R. boxing but, I'm realistic and know all too well that the "Tito" glory days are gone and it will be a while before we see anyone captivating people the way "Tito" did.

Even if he was the biggest star in boxing or if he ever becomes a huge star, I will still say the same exact thing..He's NOT from here, simple as that! I don't jump on band wagons like a lot of fanatics do.. & anyway, even García himself considers himself a u.s. fighter & has said after fights he's won, that he wins for HIS FAMILY, FREINDS & PEOPLE in PHILLY.. Then he'll throw in the latinos & only in one fight at the end he mentioned the Boricuas, & that was cause someone from his corner yelled out "don't forget the Boricuas"! The next line of world champs I'm pretty sure We'll have is Jonathan"Bomba" Gonzalez, Orlandito Del Valle(especially now that he's training with Legendary trainer Nacho Berstaín), McJoe Arroyo(his brother McWilliams, even thou he was an amateur world champion, he doesn't convince Me as a pro) & Felix Verdejo.. Unfortunately "Chelo" Gonzalez is NOT ready for title shot, as a matter of fact he shouldn't even be ranked #1(especially after his last performance against journeyman Alejandro Rodriguez)Even thou "Chelo" is a strong & well conditioned fighter & has 22 fights under his belt, he hasn't fought a top of the line ranked fighter yet & still needs to work on a few things & correct a few flaws.. But he's already taking on Ricky Burns in Scotland(this will be his first fight out of Puerto Rico) & I would love for him to win, but I don't see him beating Burns.. & the other Jonathan Gonzalez("Mantequilla") I never liked his style & I don't see him winning any world title..

What about CI Velazquez, what happened there? I've been asking forever, nobody ever answers why he was out so long. I see he fought a few months back.

Juanma lost but he's not done. Philly boy Danny will make noise and I really like Verdejo ever since I saw him in the Olympics. Orlandito I like as we'll but he needs to improve more.
