Probably just media training that he has gone through. Often times they will coach athletes (especially ones without much formal education like Floyd) to pause and think before they answer so they don't stumble. You can tell its an intentional pause.
What would make you think Floyd has any kind of brain damage?
Outside of one shot against Mosley, I can't think of any kind of devastating blows or sustained punishment he has ever taken.
Go watch a video of Brandon Rios. Now THAT'S what brain damage sounds like.

I have to give Floyd a break on this one. He nailed the Pacquiao question without any problems. But when asked about the game, he was thinking which caused the shuttering. He really tried going to deep when trying to describe the play of Syracuse in 2 previous games when just a simple "Michigan/Orangemen" would have sufficed.

I've always viewed Floyd as a bad speaker, he tries too hard to conceal certain thoughts and instead picks his words very carefully and vaguely; which doesn't work too well for him. He does seem more relaxed around friends or at the gym though. I'm surprised nobody has destroyed him verbally at this point. A person like, let's say Hopkins or Roy Jones, would obliterate him in a battler of words.

this is what I was thinking. Maybe just watching what he's saying. He is on CBS not HBO or Showtime

True!! I'm just saying but maybe he's on drugs. If not drugs something is definitely wrong bc its very noticeable

It was the same old Floyd. lol He sounded lost when talking about basketball, but he's not an analyst.

Thanks for posting, Floyd wasn't that bad here actually.

Nothing like the seal clapping fiasco against Brian Kenny on ESPN.
