They would've just asked him about his gun charge, that's what America loves, violence and drama, not religion.Comment

Harsh, but in the ring he has slowed down; chill out I'm not hating flowjobs.
He's got different smarts, Barkley isn't an eloquent speaker either but he's got a commentator job, Michael Irvin?Comment

Floyd does seen to have speech issues. Not like he's been taking punishment to the head. Best defensive fighter: check. What else can slow your speech?Comment

Barkley just sounds drunk half the time. He slurs his words a lot and the way the other commentators look at him when he speaks gives me the impression they tolerate him because he is a colleague and they semi-respect him but think he is not taking his job seriously.Comment

Wasn't it the same with Pernell Whitaker? People say he has issues too.
As to punishment to the head, I think all boxers go through a lot in the gym.Comment

I didn't see, but it sounds kinda like typical Floyd. Take a guy like Freddie Roach for instance, suffers from tremors, but according to him such symptoms basically disappear when he's doing padwork with his fighters. However slow his mind might appear to react to questions or whatever the case may be, I've learned he's a natural in the ring. He is 36, but he hasn't fought that much, just a solid 43 fights in 17 years. He's not a tired, or physically abused athlete, and he's hasn't taken a surplus of shots. So, until I see him really decline and start to get hurt by shots that he could've ate before, I can't say he should retire.Comment

Yeah he is not the greatest speaker but just like to add that when polled....
public speaking usually ranks as the #1 personal fear in Americans...yes, higher than death itself.Comment

He's cool, he should just retire from interviews though...maybe get Ellerbe to speak on his behalf and post up in the background like a mob boss or something, lol.I didn't see, but it sounds kinda like typical Floyd.
