I bet Shiming's chin is made of fine China.
Shiming debut/skill set vs Rigondeaux debut/skill set..

Some of you have a very positive outlook. This was one of the worst high profile debuts I can remember (probably since Luis Yanez). A 2x gold medalist getting caught repeatedly for 4 rounds by a 2-2-1 fighter that already has been KO'd in his pro career? And that has never fought outside Mexico? This guy Shining is 31 already, he's going to end up getting hurt on his way to a title. I can see why he was a good amateur though.Comment

Has nothing to do with what the TS was asking and are you really comparing China's population to a million cubans in the us lol come on sonComment

red k sentOriginally posted by RajahBellHow many people showed up to Rigondeaux's debut?? Shiming filled up an entire venue and had potential of having 300 million tv viewers from China. He has already accomplished more in popularity than Rigo, who can't sell a ticket crickets everywhere when he fights.

How is Bob Arum lying? He promoted a show in China of a two time Gold Medalist making his pro debut. If thr guy ends up to be nothing so what, the point is bringing boxing to China and getting them into the sport which in turn produces more and more Chinese pro boxers. This quite obviously helps the sport grow tremendously. I don't understand how this is hard for you to see.So hyping/lying to sell this guy as an example of "Now this is boxing, this guy has talent!!" isn't killing boxing?
While Bob is telling these same people "The only way a guy like Rigo can be a star is Castro promotes him"?
FOOK THE MONEY, look at what they are pushing down our throats. And it's funny how you guys understand the money aspect when its a fighter/promo company you support/like.Comment

Why do people get so upset about this? The guy has a medal in 3 olympics (2 golds) and 3 world championships. If there is a guy to ever hype up, its him. Not to mention, he is also opening up one of the most untapped possible boxing markets in the world. Oh yea, he's so terrible for boxingComment
