Comments Thread For: Koncz: Pacquiao Could Face Bradley, Alvarado - Overseas

One thing is for sure, according to adviser Michael Koncz, eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) will return in the month of September - and the fight will NOT take place in the United States.

Koncz tells BoxingScene.com that Pacquiao's position is very firm - he refuses to stage his next fight in the United States due to the high taxes.

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is willing to stage Pacquiao's next outing in Macao or potentially Singapore - but the veteran promoter is fearful that staging the event overseas will potentially damage the HBO Pay-Per-View buyrate.

Do like they did in Thrilla in Manila and have the fight where it would be primetime in the USA. Fight at 10am or whatever. If Ali and Frazier could do it then Pacman make it happen.

Pacquiao v Alvarado is a potentially entertaining fight.

well it comes down to bradley, marquez, and pacquiao... these 3 have to fight it out again one way or another... wether it's pacquiao vs. bradley and winner takes marquez ... or marquez vs. bradley and winner takes pacquiao... it's top rank fighters... so these 3 are 100% going to fight one another this year and 2014.

I'd rather see Bradley fight Marquez so Pac/Alavarado seems fine to me.

....for as long as it last. If he gets rocked by a jab by Rios...think of what Manny will do!
