I agree. And there's no better way to make Pac look great again than feasting him someone like Alvarado.

Do some research before you come here and post!!! Four things happened those days:-
1). Nobody was making $25 million pay days
2). The dictator of Phillipines just like the dictator of Zaire coughed up more than half the purse of both fighters.
3). Both fights were staged on 100,000 plus stadiums not the small Vegas dome that holds less than 18,000 people.
4). The fight was broadcast in more than 50 countries and all of them paid hefty sums for the right to broadcast.

This brings me to what someone posted on here the other day suggesting that he will fight overseas to avoid US testing and the taxes excuse is just a smoke screen............just a thought

I think a lot of it is a smokes screen, I dont know what their motive is other than maybe keeping Pac in the news. But if it was such a good money deal for Pac to fight outside the US whey havent they done it already? Theyve been talking about it for years but havent actually done it. Ali was doing it 35+ years ago, its not like its a new concept and wasnt Arum with Ali at the time?

Lewis fought Rahman 1 in south africa for whatever reason. Arum seems to be using Pac fighting outside the US as some sort of threat, maybe so he can get better deals with the venues, something is up.

I could give a **** where the fight takes place, I wasnt planning on flying out to the fight anyways, its all the same on TV.

I would rather see Pac vs Bradley then Pac vs Alvarado. Bradley is the current WBO Welterweight champion and Pac should try and get that belt back. Alvarado has never fought at Welterweight. Pac should go get that WBO belt back IMO and if Marquez still wants it then let him take it from him.

Pacquiao would/will wreck Alvarado. It'll be a blood bath. Pacquiao still beats anyone from 140-147 not named Mayweather or Marquez.

only Manny Pacquiao could get away with fighting a guy like Alvarado with no backlash and still be called an elite fighter

PAC should fight Alvarado at 140 and take his belt, it will look good on Manny's part.

I feel like Pacquiao might not really gain anything from fighting alvarado (other than a couple million dollars of course)

But it will be a good fight as I look forward to any Pacquiao fight
