    How hurt was Rigondeaux really...

against Marroquin? I remember thinking when I first watched the fight that Rigondeaux was wobbled all over the place. I just rewatched it and I really don't think it was as bad as people make out. Both times he definitely got hit with good shots and was no doubt stunned, but both times he recovered in a split second grabbed hold and that was pretty much the end of it. He wasn't doing an Amir Khan running around the ring not knowing what to do or anything I know that much.

Now obviously Donaire hits harder, faster and more accurately than Marroquin but I don't think GR will be put away by one shot. If he gets hurt I expect him to hold and spoil till he recovers. This fight is going to the bell as far I can see...

It's hard to say but he better not get hit like that against Nonito.

Both seemed pretty even to me, the legs went more in the second but he recovered just as quick.

I'm definitely not saying Donaire can't hurt him, the guys a beast, just I think stories about Rigo's chin are overstated...

i remeber not thinking to much about the first 1 it was nothing he grabbed then pushed off instantly then went back to boxing but the 2nd one looked a lil worst to me but maybe it wasn't that bad

It very overplayed IMO. I really do believe he just got knocked off balance more than anything.

The second time I believe it was he steadied himself and fired back a vicious bodyshot before tying up, seemed to me he recovered very quickly & reacted great, as good as you could of asked for.

Marroquinn is a big guy who hits very hard and I truly believe hes a decent prospect in his own right.

People are making way, way too much out of this for my liking. Most guys would of been out from those shots.

Yeah, Marroquin is a decent fighter for sure.

I thought the same thing when I watched it first. Just rewatched and it really wasn't a huge thing. I think it may have been the shock of seeing him get tagged and hurt a little that made us overreact tbh

Ive only seen him next to Rigondeaux so he seemed pretty basic but GR will do that to you, he's definitely big, strong and hard hitting though!
