Chris John is a great fighter, but that was a questionable decision. He's probably looking to retire after a payday.

John got owned the first fight and was given a gift. He actually thinks he can call the shots. No one cares for him out side of Asia. He probably is mad because guys like Marquez and Pac are known world wide and way richer then him. Dude needs to realize he is probably a Hall of Famer but no where near an ATG like Marquez.

You, sir, are dead wrong!!! At the very worse, the score was 8-4 in Marquez' favor. And that's being generous towards John.

                  Fair decision

I watched that fight on YouTube and, while it was certainly close, Chris John deserved it. He was quicker and more elusive than Marquez and landed more punches. Marquez went low several times, so the two points' deductions were legitimate, but even without them John would have won a fairly wide unanimous decision. The scores were 116-110, 117-111 and 116-112. The referee, by the way, was from Panama and the judges from the USA, Thailand and Japan. The American judge, Oscar Perez, gave it to John by six points. John is often criticised for only fighting at home, but, in fact, he has travelled to other countries for nine of his WBA title fights - twice to America, twice to Australia, twice to Singapore and three times to Japan.
