Thanks. I just checked box-rec and, indeed, he beat Dirrell as an amateur. If he can out-point a boxer, then he's better in my eyes.

I see GGG as a bigger Tsyzu with great leverage in his punches; but not nearly technically polished. Konstantin was a beast.

I agree with Ward. Punchers tend to look dominant against ordinary fighters but would have to see how he does against more resilient fighters.

The hype is spilling over for GGG because he is a power house but Ward would seriously beat this guy down.

I root for boxing but I have to keep it true to myself and Andre Ward is proven to be one of the greats of this era and Golovkin we don't know yet but he is a great entertainer. Until he fights some tougher guys we just speculate what he can do against top competition. But I do see him getting more recognition so sooner or later the fights will come to him.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if GGG pulled off the upset and I wouldn't be surprised if it went to the cards. Unless Ward gives up late rounds and gets tkod.

There is no logic in calling out Chavez Jr. and then say GGG is not worthy enough.

Unfortunately, Ward doesn't have any dancing partner right now, and GGG is really the only interesting fight for Ward.

But I can't hate on Ward because Ward is one of maybe only 2 or 3 fighters in boxing right now who have cleaned out their division.
There is logic there. Regardless of what Chavez has done (getting schooled by Martinez) the kid brings in the £££ and right now that's what matters to Ward and who can blame him?

He's cleaned up his divison and other than moving up (something he doesn't seem likely to do any time soon) there's not a great deal for him.

GGG might be a great fighter but let's be honest who has he been in with that makes people think he's so great?

It sucks that people are avoiding the guy but sadly that's boxing. He's a high risk low reward type dude at the minute anyway.

I'd love to see GGG against Chavez/Martinez. See how good he really is.

I could see this potential fight being a very good one.

The one that brings his mental A-game is the winner in this one as I see it a 50/50 matchup physically. They're both very skilled.
