I keep hearing this but who exactly are they fighting? Canelo's just fighting a legit contender, Broner doesn't fight anyone, Money May may be Money May, but who is Guerrero? And People may ***** about Arum all they want, but he just gave us Pac vs JMM, Bradley Vs Prov, Chavez Vs Martinez, Rios vs Alvarado etc... What has GBP given us? Canelo vs Lopez?

So now is saying he isn't having anyone of his fighters fighting on showtime? Why is this guy such a scumbag? He has his fighters on showtime all the time but now his fighters can't fight on showtime? What's wrong with having the option to fight on HBO and Showtime?

This. I cant believe some people thought this whole HBO/GBP shake up was somehow moving in the right direction. GBP having fights on BOTH showtime and HBO was moving in the right direct. HBO throwing a hissy fit and Arum jumping in on it now having TR only on HBO and GBP only on showtime is a giant step backwards. They just swapped companies and got more restrictive in what they do, that isnt an improvement.

I know Canelo is fighting Trout but Canelo demanded that fight not Golden Boy.

I don't know why people are suprised, Golden Boy and Haymon put on crap at HBO for years until Hershman took over.

as long as Showtime will buy appearance fights Golden Boy will put it out there and why not? they're in the business to make money and who doesn't like making easy money?

they'll only risk their investment if the payoff is worth it.

if fans stop watching mismatches then you won't be seeing them anymore.

Well arum is right about Mares' popularity. The fanbase is too busy surrounding total hypejobs instead of supporting him. Mares is a top 5 Mexican bred fighter right now. He's far better and more proven than both Chavez and canelo who hog most of that fanbase.

You wanna know what really bothers me about Arum???? The fact that he prefers to do in house fights and doesn't work with other promoters is bad but it's business so I can somewhat understand. But the way he talks about others fighters that he doesn't promote is wrong. Dissed Mares' career like as if he wouldn't be sucking Abs **** had he been under Top Rank.

Bob arum is right. Why would anyone want to fight on showtime, when hbo's audience is much bigger. HBO boxing regularly rates 1m + tv ratings, while shobox marquee fights can't even break a million.

Canelo did it already 1 mill 400K so I dont know what you talking about.
