How would Mike Alvarado vs Lucas Matthysse go?

Matthysse would allow Alvarado to box a lot better than Rios did. It was difficult with Rios because he was all up on him and Alvarado had to make his own room to breathe by staying on his toes constantly when he was not trading with Rios. Matthysse would not do this, he's very content with staying flat footed, he's not going to swarm a fighter like Rios does or try to fight inside. This would benefit Alvarado. Not to mention Alvarado has some physical advantages that he did not have against Rios, just slightly, but not enough to really call it an advantage. Against Matthysse, these physical advantages would more significant. The one that pops to me the most is the height, Alvarado being 5' 9" and Matthysse being 5' 6". If Alvarado decides to box, he'd be successful. I think it's a bad fight for Matthysse and people are picturing the Alvarado against Rios, a big JWW with physical attributes of a WW and room to finish his career at 154. While Matthysse is short and would not bring the activity that Rios brought.Comment

a good boxer should be able to outpoint Lucas
but you have to stick to your technical guns
anyone who wants to fight or gets forced to will lose to Lucas
Alvarado wouldn't stick to any technical plan in the fight
this would be a war, Lucas' body attack would be crucial
think Lucas KO's Alvarado in the late rds somewhereComment
