Yea cause we all know Alvarado fights like Zab and Devon. And Matthysse fights like Rios.

    When will people learn?

        Alvarado outboxes Matthysse.

Matthysse might hit harder than Rios, but he certainly does no have the constant pressure that Rios has, and he's a slow starter.

Fun fight. I would favour Matthysse to get a late stoppage but both guys would eat plenty of shots. As far as comparing it to the Rios fight goes, I don't think there's that much of a comparison. Lucas is a better boxer than Rios, he cuts the ring off better, and he won't gas after 3-4 rounds like Rios normally does. He'll keep the pressure on for 12 rounds and if Mike wants to hit him with anything big he'll have to take something big in return.

It's a quality fight, but as others have said, it can't happen.

Rios doesn't have a good engine. On all available evidence Matthysse does.

If all you can claim on your resume are robberies against Judah and Alexander, that's not really saying much about Matthysse. So I'd favor Alvarado by a mile high.

They're both faster and have better defense than Alvarado. Matthysse is more accurate than Rios and is better at putting punches together. Probably has more power too.

Matthysse messes him up, but it would be a good fight.

                    destroyed?

the only way i could see that happening would be if mike had something taken out of him in the rios wars.

i just can't see alvarado being overwhelmed completely by matthysse.

i'd take mattthysse on points, but i think it would be a close fight. alvarado is very durable. matthysse has a more intellegent approach than rios, but he doesn't put the leather and pressure on somebody to anywhere near the same degree.

no way. rios has very heavy hands. he hurt alvarado with a damn jab.

matthysse's got good timing and speed and he sets stuff up, and he can ****, but rios is a brute.

if you stand still rios will put you down sooner than matthysse will.
