Wow Rosado landed some punches on him, you must have missed him getting his face punched in. But i guess thats "outboxing" on NSB. Narvaez also outboxed Donaire according to you

You say Im making excuses like a scared fan, but Im not even biased like that bro. Martinez is my favorite but Im hear to call it like I see it. I dont even see GGG beating Martinez, because I dont think he can hurt Martinez, nor take his power. I never hyped up Chavez, I only hyped up Martinez's WIN over Chavez, because he is WAAAAY too big for Martinez. You say Im scared to do this or that, but your forgetting that I predict Chavez to beat Martinez in the rematch. Im not biased like some of you all. I just say what I feel.
You're hyping JCC to be a monster who is too big for everyone and KO'd everyone just because he faced Sergio to hype up that win as something amazing, then criticize Hopkins for things that sergio has done, which arent even comparable. I dont think Golovkin will win either, but he can certainly hurt sergio or any MW. Was Chavez WAAYY too big for Zbik or rubio? You're predicting Chavez to beat Sergio to further hype up sergio. so you can say "oh i thought JCC would destroy sergio but he didnt, sergio is the goat". THis is all afte watching JCC get destroyed for 11.5 rounds by the same guy

Anyhow you don't seem to realize that before his first HBO dates (against Bunema and Cintron) Martinez couldn't draw any big/decent names into a fight. Vernon Forrest ducked Sergio for years, and in the end gave up his title before fighting him.

Even before that (2007), Sergio fought a WBC eliminator against Saul Roman that would make him a mandatory to the DLH-Mayweather winner, but when Floyd vacated the title they had Forrest fight Baldomir for the vacated title instead (the WBC has been ****ing on Sergio for years). Even before that (2003) you had a young inexperience welterweight Sergio move up to fight the IBO 154 titleholder (R. Williams) in his hometown (Manchester, England) in a fight he where he came in as the underdog and was expected to lose. Also, in 2000, a green Martinez with only 2 years as a pro took on Antonio Margarito (who would go on to win a belt only a year later) in Las Vegas in what was his first fight outside of Argentina.

So I don't see how anyone can claim Martinez has been "cherrypicking" opponents or that he hasn't taken on risks when the opportunity arose.

As far as Hopkins, he built up his career early on but he also took a risk early on when he fought Roy for a vacant title. However, you have to keep in mind that Hopkins won the IBF title in 1995 and didn't unify until 2000 when he fought Keith Holmes and he probably as big a draw if not bigger than Sergio was.
Why are you bothering educating some of these fanboys? As of now If Martinez beat GGG, I would still have his win over Chavez as better of his résumé than a win over GGG.

e and his godfather. The title which he lost to Zbik btw
^^^That I will not agree on. Chavez is so big, I give anyone props for doing what Martinez did. He walked him down, and their is just no room for asterisk on this one Im afraid.

Nah bro, Im not going all over there, saying he won rounds or ANYTHING like that. Im just saying, that when he was confident and boxing, using defense, countering, he was doing excellent. If that was Martinez, I would smell a stoppage on the horizon!!

No he was downright outboxing GGG in some of those sequences. GGG is troubled by defense, and slickness. Something Maravilla has mastered.

Rosado has a more fundamentally sound defense than Martinez. He doesn't lean away from shots with his hands by his waist.

Chavez only started improving and becoming a monster until after the rubio fight? He only had 1 fight after rubio How convient, this guy that you say is too big for anybody started being too big and monsterous only a couple months before the sergio fight. And most expected him to stop soft chinned lee. How is it outboxing of the other guy is punching you face in and hurting you while easily winning the round. Did Narvaez outbox Donaire? He was landing counters too

I don't care if you agree or not. He is big so what? He has no boxing skills whatsoever, except decent chin and heart. But those things don't win the fight if you can't box.

But I also pointed out that it was carefully planed, with him fighting smaller guys. See? We can have it both ways. I give him props you want me to, but I also speak truth about how it was done.
He fought everyone there was to fight and then some.

I don't know HOW you are possibly nitpicking Hopkins who has the record for title defenses at MW even though King REFUSED to give him any big fights in the mid-90s, sets the record anyways, and moved up to take on the recognized 175 lb champ Tarver, Wright, and fought Joe Calzaghe, Pavlik, Pascal 2x and Dawson 2x and Cloud, all over age 40. What the fck dude.

So how is that outboxing? He used defense, countering, and boxing but got his ass kicked, and thats outboxing?
