  • The only issue is Angelo89 was clearly a troll. If he wasn't then it'd be funny but the guy was pretending the whole time. He's even pretending Donaire won the fight lol.

        • mayweather and ward would both beat donaire easily. not only are they better but they have a stylistic advantage over him. in fact even if i thought donaire was better i would still say he loses, the clash of styles is just so bad for him. i dont see how anyone could pick him over those guys in a h2h p4p matchup, its just so obvious that they outbox him.

thats becuase hes been fighting guys who lack the defensive skill and fighting intelligence to neutralize an opponents best offensive weapon.

hes been fighting brawlers who come to him, or basic guys who while they have fundamental skills are incapable of making major adjustments as a fight goes on.

rigo however brings the fighting intelligence and advanced skills to neutralize anything the opponent brings to the ring, only way for that opponent to stop it is to make more adjustments and thats something donaire struggled with his whole career.

he can be versatile but only working off the same basic approach every fight, take that away from him and you can neutralize anything you want.

It was negated last night by an "amateur".

That's what true elite fighters do. We've seen Mayweather take specific punches away for over a decade, but Rigo did it even better.

You wouldn't have known Donaire had a left hook last night, let alone one that people were calling 'the best punch in boxing'. He was never in position to throw it, and if he tried to he was getting smacked with a straight left or right hook.

In 122 terms, we just saw a very good big man get his ass beat by an elite little man.

well donaire did manage to drop rigo with a left hook lets not forget that...but for the most part donaire was unable to land it consistently..

That wasn't a typical left hook though.

It was coming out of a break and Rigo made a silly mistake. Donaire's usual left hook is thrown with a wind-up and from distance, that was never going to work against Rigo. Rigo seen the smallest movements in advance let alone that wind-up hook.

Well, I guess after getting schooled for 12 rounds there's GOTTA be something right?
