He might have won clear (as in clear 3-2), but looked a bit vulnerable. Not a knock on him, I know his opponent is excellent and a tough matchup for him.

Even journeyman level pro's would be a better test for these guysComment

which is why he needs a pro level team. that wasnt a fight he should have been taking rite now. applauds to him for doing it, but he needs to be built as a professional and that wsb stuff may not be the way to go.Comment

I bet 3-4 of those guys win legit titles, or better. I know it's not a safe bet based on recent record.Comment

Yeah, can't say I understand what drives him. Supposedly he'll turn pro after this season is complete, which should be soon.Comment

He'll be able to fight 6 rounders against respectable opposition right from the start of his pro career and be moved as fast or faster than Rigo. That's a good thing. Same goes for Usyk who just scored a shutout against arguably the best Superheavyweight amateur Medzhidov in spite of moving up a division and giving away over 30lbs.Last edited by Mikhnienko; 04-01-2013, 05:01 AM.Comment

depends. the whole point of fighting 3 rounders against weak opposition is to build confidence. ppl may pan those fights but they serve a purpose. fighting 6 rounders against ppl uve fought in the ams, esp ones u have had tough fights with before can damage a fighters confidence and it can also give a skewed view of the professional rankings. i think hed be better off going a more traditional path. i guess it depends on who u ask tho.Comment
