Do you see HBO putting Ward into the spotlight like they did Broner?

Does Ward sell him self to the fans? I honestly don't think the good guy image combined with Ward's style is good to push.

Broner knocks guys out, talks trash and attracts negative press=more viewers. HBO can push Ward like a push up bra, it's not going to do anything if Ward can not push him self.

I'd say he should fight Chavez Jr. this year or next and that will get more excitement from fans for Ward. Also, easy win too unless he gets caught like round 12 Martinez
Ward has the unique ability to stink out a fight no matter how exciting the other guy is he's fighting. Even his stoppage of Dawson was dull....surprising....but dull with all the grappling.

            No.

People comparing him to Pacquiao and Jones are off their heads.

He doesn't have the style to be entertaining to casual fans, who want to see KO's and all out action.

Ward is what he is and he's certainly not going to be no breakout star

              This

As great as ward is, he's great because he sucks all the fun out of his fights and turns them into tactical chess matches.

That's fine for the purist, but for the casual fan who wants to see a fight its no good

People on here will deny that, because they love him, and don't like any negativity, but in this case it's a cold hard fact

Ward is too good to put the spotlight on him, he has no competition at 168 at the moment everybody else is competition for the #2 or #3 Spot in the 168 Division at the moment and to be honest it is not a fighter at 160 or 168 or 175 that would even be considered the "FAVORITE" over Ward

Ward would basically have to "DUMB DOWN" his style to ALLOW the fight to be competitive with most of these fighters in around his division at the moment

So no you cannot put him in the Spotlight because in the ring he will likely dominate most of his opponents to the point in which the match would be boring in the ring to the casual fans...and outside of the ring he is a nice clean cut guy so he won't do the silly stuff Broner do outside of the ring to draw attention to himself

Sorry but Nobody is interesting in clean cut politically correct American Fighters! Fans love the trash talking and the foolishness outside of the ring a lot of them just hate to ADMIT IT!

                  Lol bull****

Roy Jones dominated all his opponents a lot worse than Ward does, and people wanted to see him.

The difference was Roy wasn't boring.

UH...Roy Jones wasn't a major PPV Draw...he did well no doubt but he wasn't a Major PPV Draw

And Roy Jones was also criticized for his style as well! So yea I think Ward can reach maybe Roy Jones Jr Level as far as Drawing Power Goes

To be honest the point to my post is that it is more so about Ward's competition then it is HIM...if he had more competition around him and fights available that fans wanted to see him in against opponents THEY give a legit chance to defeat him then that would help make Ward a Draw...but he don't have that right now
