I'd hope not.
Do you see HBO putting Ward into the spotlight like they did Broner?

There are drawbacks with all of them, but the names are there if he can secure the fights.Kelly Pavlik - Retired
Lucian Bute - Would prefer a rematch with Froch for more money.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. - Not a 168 fighter yet
Bernard Hopkins - Not a 168 fighter
Mikkel Kessler - His future depends of his rematch with Froch
Jermaine Taylor - Not a 168 fighter and is shot as hell
Sergio Martinez - Not a 168 fighter
Carl Froch - Already beat him and Froch would prefer a rematch with Bute
Andre Dirrell - Mentally fragile, he's been semi retired for quite some time
Gennady Golovkin - Not a 168 fighter
Jean Pascal - Not a 168 fighterComment

It's not so much these guys as the prospects and young fighters on the rise like Groves, Edwin Rodriguez, Oosthuizen, + Kovalev who I'm most eager to see Ward against at some point. The current batch of SMW-the leftovers of the super six have already been pretty decisively wiped out by Ward (Froch has helped eliminate some guys too), so now it's time for some new blood.Kelly Pavlik - Retired

Dawson rematch at 175, the first fight really didn't do much for him.
I still think ESPN is the ticket, there are so many sport fans that watch ESPN, HBO should take advantage of it.
2 days: Portrait of a fighter on ESPN.
Took forever for Roy and Bernard; they would need to push him faster to get him that mainstream light, because his style isn't too eye pleasing - for the casuals I mean.Comment

Ward will never be a PPV star. He needs a Tito Trinidad or an Oscar De La Hoya.
Canelo's the only fighter at this moment with the potential to become a PPV star without an ODLH, because of his built in fan base.Comment

Broner, Canelo, and possibly Golovkin are fighters I can see becoming stars if their hype isn't derailed (which could easily happen).Comment

How the hell did I forget Broner? Broner and Canelo are the only future PPV stars in my eyes. Even if Golovkin turns out to be a beast, so what? Look at Matthysse. I see the same scenario happening with GGG.Comment

You could be right, reason I said possibly. I feel that Golovkin could be marketable if promoted correctly, he's more engaging and friendly than Mattysse (and actually speaks English) and he posses a childlike charm combined witha warrior spirit reminiscent of Pacquiao. IF he were to destroy Martinez and Chavez Jr, the hype would be crazy.Comment

That's the thing. If Martinez looks like **** against Murray, not happening. Chavez Jr. aint going near GGG either. The guy is screwed because of his reputation. He's in the same territory as Matthysse/prime Margarito/prime Paul Williams/Vernon Forrest/Winky Wright. You could be right, reason I said possibly. He doesn't have the built in fan base that would make it worthwhile for fighters to go in there with him.
Tyson would kill you, and give you the biggest pay day of your life. GGG will kill you, and probably net you a slightly higher pay check.Comment
