I feel like this question is asked after every single time they fight. Can we wait to see how GGG handles a top MW and if Martinez fully recovers from his leg injury?
Unless Martinez gets some Adrian Peterson roids then I don't think hes recovering.
I think a lot of people are confused by GGGS power. Everyone says Martinez is "too skilled" etc etc....
GGG is just as skilled and as good a boxer as ANY ONE out there. Dude has over 150 amateur fights. I'm sorry but you cannot be such a high profile and successful amateur boxer with purely just "punching power." That's laughable, at best.
GGG is a good boxer, who just happens to have incredible natural punching power. Just cause a guy KOs all of his opponents, doesn't mean he's a limited brawler with no speed and ability to adjust to any "boxer." If anything, the fact that he's KO'ing all of his pro opposition is just a plus, considering his amateur background.
This would be an incredible fight and the winner would SURELY be the top dog at 160 no question, and a sure "P4P" fighter. I have golovkin winning, but Martinez is very dangerous and could very well win and solidify his career/legacy with an incredible win here.
Martinez had trouble with mathew macklin and darren barker and nearly got knocked out by bum chavez. I think Golovkin stops martinez.
GGG had trouble with Rosado and was getting tagged by ishida and pushed back lol.

If we can get Martinez to stop feasting on euro level guys and get him in the ring with GGG, who wins this at 160?
The slick Martinez with his speed and hands held low
Or the slower but equally gifted hard hitting GGG?
lol yeah, it's Martinez feasting on lower level guys.
I guess beating up jr mw's with losing records would be better

i don't know what fights you were watching, GGG was in complete control against Rosad0 from the first bell to the stoppage and ishida lost every round landing little more than a few glancing blows before being Koed.. Just because you love one fighter don't go making ****** crap up about another. Nobody arguing that GGGs record is anything like as impressive as martinez's.

lol I was just saying that because they said Martinez was being troubled before he Ko'ed the guys "giving him troubles" also.
And the "bums giving martinez trouble" Martinez were fighting would be a massive step up for GGG's competition.
Lets see GGG fight a MW now? Maybe only a few losses on their record?
IMO the jury is out on GGG. I like im an all, but until I see him in there with someone close to the top of the order, I'm not sold on him beating Martinez.

in fact GGG has over 300 amateur fights documented
I know GGG isn't as proven as Martinez, and Martinez is one of my favorite fighters. But... I just don't see this as a good style matchup for Martinez, especially considering his age and recent injury. Only way Martinez has a chance is if he continuously rocks GGG, but I don't see that happening.
Golovkin is too strong and too skilled or any 160 pounder. He should just move up and take Ward's titles. Personally I think he beats Ward, Froch, and Kessler with relative ease.
I'm not ready to say golovkin is P4P material... but i have always thought sergio is overrated just a bit... if Golovkin can manage more than Chavez 26 ppr... he should stop sergio.... but this fight wont happen as long as europe keeps ****ting out tall slow footed middleweights for martinez to feast on.
