    Golovkin vs Martinez

If we can get Martinez to stop feasting on euro level guys and get him in the ring with GGG, who wins this at 160?
The slick Martinez with his speed and hands held low
Or the slower but equally gifted hard hitting GGG?

Depends when it happens but Martinez has the edge because of his movement

I see Martinez landing straight left hands down the middle with relative ease, and Golovkin getting broken down bit by bit. Just wish the fight happened soon enough.

        Sergio wins, wide.

I'll need to see how he looks after surgery, but if it's the Sergio of before then he is simply too fast, too skilled and too good. He wont just stand there to be hit like so many of GGG's opponents have done.

        Sergio clearly.

Martinez had trouble with mathew macklin and darren barker and nearly got knocked out by bum chavez. I think Golovkin stops martinez.

I voted for GGG. I think he will KO Martinez afer losing some of the early rounds. GGG. is faster, more skilled and a harder puncher than Chavez in my opinion. Chavez almost KOd Martinez in the last round. GGG. will hurt him much earlier and he will finish him off. GGG. can win on points as well. I think GGG. is the best middleweight in the world today but Pirog, Martinez, Geale and Quillin are all very good. Middleweight is a strong division now. Chavez is good but I think he will be forced to move to 168 soon or keep struggling to make 160. I don't think Chavez can beat GGG. GGG. is better than Chavez in most ways.

I respect Sergio and I'm his fan but in my opinion he has very little chance in this fight if he ever shows enough courage to step into the ring with a guy that he himself called to soon become middlewight king. He moves fast and has some B+ power. But as Chris mentioned - Macklin did well against him and was landing. Barker did the same.
Golovkin cuts the ring extremely well and does good against constantly moving target (Proksa and Rosado). He's very accurate and hits much much harder than Sergio has ever been hit.
Sergio chin is everage he has been down many times. Golovkin has never been down (or even barely hurt) in 300+ amateur fights and 26 pro fights.
Sergio will hae his moments but it's obvious he will take punches and he will be KO'ed. People will start talking that he's too old etc., but truth is that GGG will be simply too much for him.

I agree with you that 3G is a better fighter than Chavez Jr. But Chavez is very durable and 3G is a little guy. Im not sure if 3G can take 11 rounds of a beating from Martinez they way Chavez did.

Martinez with movement and those straight rights all night. Wide UD win for Martinez RIGHT NOW. In a year from now I think GGG and age might catch up to Martinez.
