Chavez might be a bum but hes a HUGE bum. Golovkin can punch but hes at a disadvantage in every aspect of the fight. Speed- Martinez, Expierience- Martinez, Skill- Martinez, Power- Im going to say Martinez because hes knocking out legit Middleweights, while 3G hasnt beaten anybody of note yet. And nobodies ever accused me of being a Martinez supporter. In fact I freakin loath Martinez to be honest.

that is a tough one cause of Martinez age...a 30 year old Martinez with the same skillset as right now would make it easy...it would be 80/20 for Martinez...right now it would be 60/40 Martinez but things can change cause we havent seen Martinez against Murray to see what he still got in the tank...but IF the fight happens it should definatly happen this year...

I think Martinez cruises the first 8-10 rounds comfortably with a few rough patches but I think down the home straight GGG takes him out.
Martinez has been down by Barker, Chavez, Williams and TKO'd by Margarito and I think GGG is more skilful the all of them and hits harder, in time GGG and his ability to cut of the ring and his thundering punches will catch Martinez and I don't think he survives.

Golovkin is the new flavor of the month. Hes fighting JMWs and knocking them out. Big deal theres not much difference between him and Canelo. In fact he is Canelo minus all the natural boxing ability. The minute Golovkin steps up in opposition is the minute he gets knocked off.

I feel like this question is asked after every single time they fight. Can we wait to see how GGG handles a top MW and if Martinez fully recovers from his leg injury?

The slick Martinez with his speed and hands held low
Or the slower but equally gifted hard hitting GGG?
Bro, don't get me wrong, I love the God of War just as much as the next guy but lets be honest here. You mention Martinez is feasting on euro level guys, while Triple G was doing the same for years. Not to mention him fighting two Junior MW in his last two fights.

Equally gifted?!? GGG has tremendous power, but have you noticed his defense is ****? He stops punches with his face. Martinez is a veteran, he'll know how to handle GGG's power and might even take that away from him not allowing him to land flush. He could use lateral movement to confuse him and keep him off balance. Sergio by UD, he has too much ring IQ right now.

If this fight happens now then I have Martinez stopping GGG late around the 10th onwards, if it happens in another year or so where GGG is more experience and had been 12 rounds in a fight then I see him stopping Martinez late.

People just love any boxer with power, the love tends to get to them and they start overrating him.

I'm actually leaning towards GGG mainly due to the age and knee situation, I can see Martinez's movement becoming that little bit slower and more predictable, especially by the time the fight would be happening - a year away minimum. The murray fight will tell alot.

Martinez feasting on Euro level bums while GGG feasts on ESPN level fighters. What's the difference? Oh, that Martinez actually got a resume worth talking about.
