Haye's mega ego prompted him to come back and redeem the embarrassment of his performance against Wladimir. It's understandable, to say the least, that he will want to improve (repair) his damaged reputation.

I don't believe he can repair it, perhaps improve it, but the damage is done. It seems to me that he's beginning to sound like Audley Harrison. Full of self admissios. or getting that way.

Hatton had a long, body abusing layoff, Haye really has had no retirement at all, just a couple of long periods between fights. This poseur had no intention of retiring whilst money was to me made but he enjoys needling the fans, whom he thinks adores him.

Hatton fought a guy whit just one defeat, who had been WBA welterweight champ with several defences. He was a top fighter.
