Well at least this seems to be a legal misunderstanding and not pure ******ity. He did not try to carry the gun through the security checkpoint and was declaring it at the ticket counter. I'm surprised he can carry in CA though as I heard their gun laws are almost as oppressive as NY.

How did he get the gun to NYC? That's the question. However, like most cases without a jury, it will simply be up to Judge's discretion and leniency. I hope all goes well and we get to see the great fight this shaping up to be.
