So I guess Haye - Povetkin is off the table

I don't think any indication have been given that the two are avoiding each other. Povetkin is a gold medalist and a (paper) world champion. I don't think he thinks he has anything to be afraid of with regards to Haye. Similar size almost.
Why do you say that?Comment

Both mens choices for hw opponents so far suggest to me they like the safe route unless there's huge money involved.
Povetkin has had a few good wins but that's many years ago.Comment

It's time for Povetkin to step up, unless he wants to be known as a complete joke. With regards to Haye, the public wont accept a lower class opponent. I think both would be confident in beating each other so there might just be a surprise. At least I hope so.Comment

I've read that they're considering that offer so if they even think about that kind of fighter I won't except they would consider Haye. Plus from what I've heard and read so far Jovo Pudar will most likely be announced today as Haye opponent. I really hope I'm wrong though. Btw what time is that conference scheduled?Comment

See, this goes for Haye as well.Comment

This seems to be the route of more and more heavyweight fighters. Fighting less often and less dangerous opponents seems to be the future of the division when sitting on a high ranking. Seems to be happening more and more often.
Very true. Very, very true.Comment

I bet its someone 'lower' than Povetkin.
The sensible option, in terms of ranking and money, is Adamek; but I wouldn't be surprised if we get Manuel Charr or Jonathan Banks.Comment
