Everyone knew Mayweather beats Gatti, and he took the piss out of Gatti that night. Complete mis-match and complete walkover. Not a big fight, a warm up at best, and all at a time in which Floyd could be fighting the fight we want him to fight... Hatton Cotto or Zab (back then).

floyd was a favorite, yes, but there were many who believe gatti would ko him. gatti floyd was a huge ppv fight, what the hell are you talking about??
when floyd fought gatti, gatti was the number 1 contender to the light welterweight crown.
hatton is just saying that he is NOW ready for floyd, when he admittidly wasnt after the zoo fight. cotto wont take a fight with floyd now, thats suicide, and they made the zab fight happen.
you really should stop bitching about floyds record, e****ailly lately, when your boy naz was 100 times worse

Yeah, that one was out of Floyds control. However if he still fought him, it would be on parr with some of his recent opponents...

The fact that Gatti (although being a "name" and someone to pad the record) will help introduce Hatton to the American public, and will build interest in the Mayweather fight for those who has possibly only seen Hatton-KT.

And also, the age of Hatton. At only 27, you have to say that he has a big advantage.... in terms of that..
hatton KOing gatti would result in the american fans absolutely despising hatton.

This fight will be the biggest fight of 2006. I'm looking forward to this more than any other fight.

you guys are pathetic........49 posts so far in this thread talking about who hatton could fight and nobody has mentioned kostya tszyu.................if hatton needs a fight and wants it in the states, then why doesn't he offer KT a rematch?! I'm sure KT would jump at that, and being in the states, I'm sure the outcome would be a whole lot different!......
