This is a fight that I would love to see. I am not a big hatton fan. I think that he is good at what he does. But my money would be on PBF. Hopefully we will hear something soon.

I think hatton should take the gatti fight and allow the american public to really see him for those who don't really know him. Then take the big pay day fight with Mayweather! Either choice he makes I'll be excited to see!

          Then

          Hatton - PBF (Late April/Early May 2006)
dude, Baldomir just fought last week. Gatti has a fight coming up in like 2 weeks. We all know you can't schedule a fight even a month before it goes down. All fighters demand at LEAST 2-3 months before they do it. how long have you followed boxing? if there's a tune-up fight, the earliest you'll see Mayweather-Hatton is September. Bank on that

My post was "in an ideal world". You think i didnt know Baldomir fought last week?

Of course there isnt going to be Baldomir fighting in January of this year again.... And the same with Gatti, as he is fighting in 2 weeks...

                hmm

Why does anyone wanna see Hatton destroy a half-shot folk hero in Arturo Gatti? Sounds like pure sadism to me.

Hatton should fight someone like Corley, Torres, Witter, or Cotto, guys that are still fresh.

the gatti fight was a big big fight, and gatti was still fighting really well. mitchell was a tune up for zab, which didnt work out
the brussels fight was an eliminator to fight gatti, which was a huge fight monetarily as well as popularity wise
