Peterson's always a slow starter though. Holt having early success was neither a surprise or a cause to worry.
If you start slow vs Matthysse you gonna get eaten alive. He's gonna take that as a sign of intimidation. Once the ball gets rolling there's no stopping it, 12 rounds nonstop.

      I think he will...

Lucas is like a more badass version of Ortiz who doesn't get phased by getting touched on the chin...

Will walk and beat this cheating mofo down.

I actually thought Peterson was going to go down against Holt until the first Kd where he took over a bit.
If Peterson can handle Matthysse's punches or atleast avoid big ones this will be a great fight, maybe FOTY with both being top dogs.

I like both fighters chances and can't pick who to root for lol
I never even gave Holt a puncher's chance. I've always felt he had overrated power. But then again Im probably the only one who feels that way on these boards cause I always catch heat when I say that.

I thought he had decent power because he was the only guy to drop Bradley at the time, But I thought Peterson would win regardless. That was probably my favorite fight of the year so far for some reason lol

I just love the name Pederson, I like the fact that it reminds people that he was a drug cheat.

I think Matthysse will buzz him on the inside, which will force Peterson to go back to the outside. At one point, I think Lucas will hurt him on the outside as well, then Pete will go back inside and try to smother Lucas and start to clinch him often. Pete will also try to work the body at the risk of leaving himself open. I think Pete will get put down in round 10, get up and Lucas will flurry him into a TKO.
I give him 2-3 before he gives up his "boxing". Matthysse is a smart guy and he can adapt.

You plan on going to this fight?

It's a very realistic possibility that Peterson gets taken out early. Matthysse won't want this to go to the scorecards, and if he hurts Peterson early that could be the end. I don't expect it, but those people rooting for Peterson better hope he doesn't start as slowly as usual.

Peterson BEATS Matthysse via Decision IMO...Peterson is very similar to Bradley as far a heart and determination, I see him finding a way to pull this one off

Matthysse is a BEAST nobody will ever take that away from him but he can be out-boxed, if you can avoid his power or even take his Power Well enough...YOU CAN BEAT HIM!

I got Peterson shocking everyone and by the end of 2013 being the #1 Guy at 140 and winning that little GBP 140 Tournament
