My problem with the whole story is that the guy and his team are so experienced in amateur and pro boxing, surely they would know the channels you have to go through to get exemptions?

I can sympathize with guys who accidentally take something that was in a supplement, that area is a minefield (see British HW Dillian Whyte) but this whole Peterson thing just seems fishy. I think Petersons positive public image has saved him from a lot of flack in the boxing world.

To the thread, i think Peterson has too much skill and boxing smarts to get stopped, but i think Matthysse is going to hurt him and win a decision.

No but I think the knockdowns Lucas lands will win him the fight though.

I think he will knock him out. Peterson comes to fight. He doesn't run. Matthysse has improved since the Judah and Alexander fights. He does not like getting robbed and he tries hard to end his fights early. He has not failed to score a KO since he lost the fight to Alexander. Peterson was hurt by Bradley, Ortiz and Khan. Matthysse is better at KOing fighters than those three.

That Dallas KO has done wonders for Matts.....

Haha hes not stopping Peterson..... Pete is solid all around offense defense etc.... This will go to the cards and I think Peterson pulls it out

It's possible Peterson says **** it and goes out on his shield, but I think he'll fight to survive if he's that hurt. He's tough enough and good enough to last 12.

Very good possibility that Peterson does get stopped in the first half of the fight though. He's a slow starter and goes down a lot early.

It's not Dallas. Matthysse has put almost everyone he's fought on the canvas, and stopped most. He's a very dangerous puncher.

Why do people hold it against Matthysse for not stopping Judah and Alexander? Judah's been stopped but never by anything less than the elite, and Alexander has never been stopped. Not to mention how negatively they both fought against Matthysse.

Yeah.... But the people hes beat since arriving to the world stage have been prolonged affairs ex Soto Ajose..... Outside of Dallas he hasn't one punched KO'd anyone.... I think Peterson is better then both of those guys so I don't see him just getting beat up

Nope. Highly doubt it. I think Peterson beats him TBH. Of all top match ups for Matthyse possible at 140, I think this is his hardest and the greatest risk for him.

This fight is very very interesting. If Lamont's chin has the stamina to stand up to Lucas' firepower he may outwork him, however that if is as big as a mountain.
