yes they are different sports but surely the same rules of competition apply. if you don't beat the best how are you the best? beating second tier opponents does not make you the best unless you are in fantasy land

So are you also saying Manny cherry picked Oscar and JMM? After all, Manny fought both of them after Floyd beat them. Ricky Hatton, too.

Oscar: No. The boxing public felt like Oscar was cherry picking Manny because he had to climb nearly 3 divisions since Manny had only 1 fight at 135. All Oscar had to do is go down 3lbs from his last fight.

JMM: Yes and No. Yes because JMM had not proved that he can fight at 144 effectively .... but remember that Marquez had the Floyd fight to gauge what he had to do the next time. Secondly, it was at 144 not 147. By then, JMM had fought more often at 135 and even fought at 140 once. Most importantly, in 2 previous fights, they fought each other closely.

I personally thought there was no point for the fight until I saw Marquez coming in bigger than Manny. That is when I changed my mind.

Hatton: No way! Hatton fought at his career weight against Manny and where Hatton was KING! Floyd called up Hatton to 147 where Hatton had only 1 fight and looked very average in that fight.


The Mosley fight was more of a cherry pick for Manny since Mosley was past it even before he fought Floyd and Floyd even admitted to Mosley being old.

Once again you failed to list the opponents he should be fighting except for Robert Guerrero, the mandatory challenger, #2 in Welter, and World Champion in 4 weight divisions.

I can post a video of everyone that Floyd has been accused of ducking, had all ducked him until he became a big money name. Floyd called out everyone but Bob Arum ain't let him fight Margo, or any of the rest of his big names because Floyd's popularity wasn't enough, until he left him and fought Oscar (who also was ducking him) that's when Arum put out bull**** that he was ducking. Then here come Pacquiao who is a one dimensional fighter and hype job by TOP Rank built off Mayweather name and left overs, why should Floyd let Arum make more money when all he give Pac 5 mil and keep all the PPV? That;s why Floyd tried to cut him out by giving PAC 40 Mil but the Pinoy is too dumb and instead signed a 3 year extension with BOB before he got his head knocked off by the true #2 P4P.

You have it all wrong.

Floyd was called out by Margarito, Williams, Martinez, Manny, ..... and some of the others that he fought later in his career such as Mosley.

See, you are proving my point. You are arguing over Floyd wanting ALL PPV money against the other top money maker in the sport. Isn't that just crazy?

Arum wanted Floyd to fight Margarito. It was Floyd that wanted no part of Margarito. Arum wanted Floyd to fight Cotto but Floyd left TR and then went on vacation.


As to list the present opponents, I already stated my point on that. Floyd comes out from hiding when the divisions are "less risky" and "ripe".
