IMO this opens the door for more boxing to be CBS and other CBS owned stations.

I agree! Floyd is taking all the Showtime budget and we should expect many fighters leave for more money to HBO.

Why is boxing the only sport that ultimately always ends up as a pissing contest?

          Showtime has GBP

HBO has freed itself to work with Top Rank, DiBella, Goosen, Shaw, Star, Main Events, Seminole, Warren, Universum, K2, Banner, Prize Fight, SMS, Hennessy, Interbox, Saureland, King, Maloney, Thompson, Cotto, etc etc.

HBO has a lot more subscribers than Sho and twice the budget. They'll be just fine as will be the boxing fan. Boxers make the promotional company not the other way around.

In edition for the coming year or two HBO will concentrate their budget on primarily on Ward, Donaire, Martinez, Chavez Jr, Golovkin, JMM, and Manny...secondarily on Froch, Bradley, KBros. I'm good with that.

I will make it simple for some of the commonsense impaired. Floyd Mayweather is what Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold were to wrestling. When he's on your brand it makes everybody alot of money because he generates more than anybody else that why Devon Alexander gets million dollar paydays when he probaly shoudn't. A wrestler from 80's will tell Hulk Hogan made them alot of money cause everybody wanted to see him. The same Austin made everybody alot of money to see him. Manny was like that not so much now which is why non of his PPV #'s never get released. Floyd is the Brinks truck and anybody under that Banner makes more than they usually would.

So all those other companies said they wouldn't work with Showtime; Arum even said never say never. Yall love to make up agreements.

I seriously doubt Floyd affects their budget (except for shows like All Access)....Floyd is strictly a PPV fighter. The ROI is immediate.

That's what I think. I think CBS is showing the Floyd fight a week later. They can do that with other big fights like Lucas Peterson

You're acting as if Golden Boy can't work with all those promoters as well.....the only two who don't work together are GBP/TR.

No but contrarily Showtime is working exclusively with GBP.
