if canelo wasnt hyped as the best thing since sliced bread people wouldnt rag on his weak opposition so hard. Nobody was hyping trout for beating sub-par guys, and cotto is far better than anyone canelo has fought to date.

He is a solid fighter, but has not proven himself at 154 just like Canelo

Don't trip, canelo's whole hood is out in full force tonight. Anyhow 1 question. Can you please name the 1 fighter that canelo beat that was better than the Miguel Cotto who fought 12 competitive rounds with Floyd. Don't worry, I'm not too drunk, (off dat Red Hook), just yet.

Trout is getting twice as much hype as Canelo on here because he beat a washed up welterweight? Trout beating Cotto is no different than Canelo beating Mosley

hes an educated southpaw, by that i mean he knows how to use his stance as an advantage. hes got good speed of foot and hand, reflexes, coordination and physical strength. hes not a big puncher but has enough pop to make to keep guys honest.

hes got a good lead hand for a lefty, excellent jab and a good hook. he throws a good cross and uppercut with the left and can put combinations together well when he wants to.

hes got solid boxing skills, good timing, form, rhythm etc. and he makes good adjustments mid fight.

trout is one of those guys who doesnt look great as soon as you lay eyes on him, he isnt spectacular in any way but he is a very solid all around fighter who will be hard to beat for anyone at 154.

going in i think this is a 50/50 fight, its alvarez' toughest fight yet for sure.

Thats a great post and pretty much everything to be said. But it will probably be argued with "Canelo mexican superstar monster power kill trout"
