    It's Ali, and there's really no question about it.

    You could make a compelling case for Joe Louis but, considering Ali's resume, I don't think many would pick him over Muhammad.

    I certainly wouldn't.

        I hate Ali but I dislike Lewis more. Explain how Ali should have had a KO loss to Cooper? Learn your history before making such ridiculous statements.

          Watch the fight moron, then you would know and i wouldn't need to explain. You're the one that hasn't learnt the history.

            Oh you mean this one?

            Yes, you need to explain why Ali should have been KO' d (7:28 of the video) Because looking at the video makes you a liar. I've actually watched fights that I choose to discuss. Did you? Apparently not. But you're the same dunce who claimed Wladimir Klitschko cheats his way to victories, correct? Again, I hate Ali but I don't want to make myself look like a ****** when it comes to facts like you just did.

            Oh, and Lennox Lewis has a glass jaw :-)

              Joe Louis was the most skilled and complete fighter in history. Excellent jab, hooks, right hand and body work. Excellent combination punching. Great power and speed. Solid chin and very good defensively. I rank him number one all time but wouldn't argue with anyone placing Ali there. I think Louis could beat any fighter in history, but there are also a few I think could beat him as well. Overall though his skillset was second to none.

                Joe Louis had one of the worst chins that a so called all time great could ever have. For you to say he had a" solid chin" is laughable. I'm laughing right now, in fact. Louis was knocked down at least 13 times. More times than Wladimir Klitschko and at least 13 times more than Vitali

                  Watch some old tapes of Jack Dempsey. Incredible speed, power, and head movement. The total package.

                    Complete=====Joe Louis!

                    Versitile is a tuff word to describe a heavyweights skills & talents. From what I know of Jack Johnson he may fit that word better than most. He could take the lead and batter his opponents or step off and counter using excellant defensive skills!
                    Ali could do that also but Ali was a laterial mover and thats something no one ever saw in that division. He was a huge Willie Pep, a bigger Sugar Ray and a harder hitting Willie Pastrano.
                    I'm ok with Ali & Johnson as being versitile, they were both blessed with incredible co-ordination!! Ray.

                      Louis was stopped once early in his career after absorbing tins of punishment in a fight he hardly trained for and the last fight of his career. He never quit in a fight, was never stopped by a journeyman or a guy who never held another win against a top 10 fighter. Having a bad chin is not being able to recover. Besides the two fights I named Louis always got up more dangerous than he was before going down. These are facts!
