i wonder if canelo beats trout will ring magazine put him as top ten p4p?.....they added broner after he beat demarco, so it would make sense that they would do the same to canelo as well. just thinking about it makes me cringe.
Yeah, that would make sense if canelo was some kind of pressure fighter. He's a guy who gets tired, but was lucky enough to be in there & patiently eat blows from small, shot & or old men while throwing dazzling combinations & stopping them by the reasons already specified.
Trout is physically strong, has a commanding jab, he's faster on his feet, has the better angles & can fight inside & outside. I expect him to turn canelo & take advantage of canelo's patience & beat him to the punch repeatedly while serving a boxing clinic in the center of the ring.
I would like to see Trout win, but I don't believe he will.
You make good points and it's perfectly reasonable to think Trout can expose some of Alvarez's shortcomings but not only do I like what I see from Canelo in spite of his opposition, but I also feel he is the type of fighter that fights to the level of his competition.

How did you come to the underlined conclusion. Considering his level of opposition has been nothing but atrocious??

Because it pretty much seems like he ****s around for awhile so the Tecate sluts can walk around with their cards a couple times, then proceeds to beat their ass when he feels like it.
I could be wrong but I am more than willing to put a little wager on Canelo to back up my intuition.
You seem to think he has looked very vulnerable yet if you look at the hard facts you are hard pressed to find a single round that he clearly lost since his original title fight.

I would hope so, considering the guys he's fighting couldn't possibly put up a decent fight due to the lack of size, youth, or prime most all had in common.
