Matthysse vs Peterson to DC?

How so? Correct me if Im wrong but AC has held more boxing than DC as of late.

I also find it interesting that supposedly Peoples hasn't received any word from GBP about this fight. The date is 2 months out already so when are they gonna start promoting it?

I will say though that DC hasnt had boxing in so long that they easily packed the house for the Khan & Holt fights. It was maybe the best crowds Ive seen in awhile too in terms of being rowdy. It even looked great and exciting on TV.

However, people from that area love to gamble so Im sure they wouldnt mind making the few hour drive to AC

Because Peterson has developed a fanbase there. I would wager that they would bring in a larger gate in DC than they would in AC.

That and if Peterson has REAL fans they will travel to AC without a doubt. AC is a 6-7 hour drive for me and Im willing to drive up there to watch Matthysse.

I just don't like the fact that this guy has had 2 fights in DC back to back and he wants a third there again.

I think Matthysse has a legit chance of stopping Peterson or at least dropping him a couple of times. I don't buy the whole "I can box" bs from Peterson. He can try but Matthysse will trap him on the ropes and draw him into the trenches where you have to favor the harder hitter. That cover up guard with no movement won't work vs Matthysse.

Peterson can box, but on the world class level he's a much better inside fighter and pressure fighter than boxer. Lucas is a good enough boxer to make Peterson pay at range, so he'll end up taking the fight inside at some point. I think he has the advantage there, but he'll have to fight as good as he ever has to avoid Matthysse's power, especially early. Peterson is always a slow starter, and susceptible to knockdowns.

And Matthysse keeps a steady pace. So he might NOT be able to pick it up if he gets hit with those body shots.

Matthysse can play your "boxing" game but he will draw you into the trenches no matter how hard you try. If he trapped a faster guy with his hands and feet in Ajose, he will trap Peterson. No doubt.

Are you're seriously asking 9,000 or so Peterson fans with jobs, family, and budgets to fly across the country just to prove they're "real fans"? Because that's basically what you're saying.

Be smart Matthysee, watch the khan fight and realize you would be ****** to fight in DC. You will be khan act 2, the ref and judges will screw you over, mark my words

For this fight too generate a good gate one off these guys has got too have home advantage and unfortunately for Lucas DC is a far better option for HBO then Trelew.I cant wait for this fight i think Lucas can stop Lamont but Peterson is a warrior and he comes prepared for war so should be a great fight.VAMOS LUCAS
