Matthysse vs Peterson to DC?

Nothing against DC or trying to make DC a fighting city again but if Lucas is smart then he should turn the fight down and wait for his mandatory shot, sometimes in boxing you have to make calculated moves, Lucas would not get a decision in DC if he deserves it, if Khan couldn't then Lucas wouldn't and then the fact that Pederson was on drugs at that same city and the shenanigans that went on in the Khan fight etc should be alarming to Lucas, he needs to take a page out of Pederson and Timothy Bradley's book and refuse the fight if they offer it to him at DC, Pederson turn the Khan fight down in England for his highest payday because he didn't want to give Khan home advantage and his decision was proven correct in the longer run because Team Khan were dumb enough to go to DC while Pederson earn double of what he was offered to fight in England, Bradley took less money to have the fight else where instead of DC, so I hope Team Lucas do their research and give their man every chance needed here.

Everybody makes a big deal about where the fight is held..Correct me if I'm wrong,but don't both fight camps have to agree on the officials of the fight??Why do people act as if,you have the fight in your hometown,you also have the right to just throw any ref or judges in place as you want..It's really getting ridicules..

Well now.....if the fight is close, like a could have gone either way fight like Judah-Matthysse was, people are going to scream robbery.

I admit, Alexander should have an L to Matthysse.....but the Judah fight was a could have gone either way fight. Judah put rounds in early.

Doesn't matter whether this fight happens in AC or DC for me. I'm driving out there Friday/Saturday and coming back Sunday so I can make it to work on Monday. It isn't that hard.

Doesn't matter whether this fight happens in AC or DC for me. I'm driving out there Friday/Saturday and coming back Sunday so I can make it to work on Monday. It isn't that hard.

Well thats good for you but what about his fans from his hometown that could only afford tix or have kids? Look DC is where the draw is for this fight and he is the champion. Like i posted earlier, Half empty venue or full rowdy crowd cheering on homegrown boy? Not that hard of a decision.

I have kids too and if I can drive 7 hours from VA they can drive 5 or less from DC.
