Fury's part of a new movement of gyppos who fight with their brains. him and Billy Joe are the future of ***** boxing.
Most travellers seem to be related to each other.

Taking Lee as an example, I think he would box all day if he was allowed to, but he has a poor inside game and terrible defence and he just gets drawn into slugging matches once guys can get inside his jab. His problem to me is not his approach or his mentality, he just doesn't have enough technical ability to avoid these brawls that he's clearly not cut out for.

i've said the same thing about Lee in the past. seeing him against Chavez, how he bought into the macho posturing/chest-beating, i concluded that lack of focus had its role to play. he seems too happy to resign himself to the fight once he's dragged there, rather than at least try to find a way to re-establish his kind of fight.

to echo the Burke fellows sentiments, too many pro fighters representing the green, white and gold just seem too...affable, or (com)pliant in some way.

no, you haven't. i've read your posts. sweeping generalized statements, no detailed critical analysis.

i can respect an opinion when it's supported well. critical support is what most of your points lack, not just in discussion of Fury (you carry the same attitude into all conversation). if there are people here who critique with their subjective emotions, you would be one.

but also a perfectly true and fair statement. 20 fights and 24 years deep, who should he have fought by this stage, oh guru? enlighten me. and your reply better consist of more than the name "Price".

i'm pillorying your 'opinion' because there's nothing of substance in your posts to support it. all the exclamation marks in the world won't add any worth to your idle comments.

Fury's done much better for himself than you predicted and you're having kittens over it.

i didn't have to search for very long, did i? you've been yapping on about Fury for time, examples are abundant and present themselves quite readily.

hahahahahaha. stay furious and keep pounding out those exclamation points, bro. (pun intended)

Reluctant Fury fans: stop being scared to admit the guy has skills!

I happened to see Fury fight first and then saw a short doc about his background and that is what made me convinced. Even without knowing of his background I still would think he had a future just based of his boxing ability.

I saw the gifs of him punching himself in the face before I actually saw him fight, but it wasn't enough to corrupt my impression of him. I didn't even know it was him at first as it was just a random undercard fight that I showed up late to watch but I thought to myself dang this guy is pretty fluid on the inside, who is he? Couldn't believe it was the same guy who almost ko'ed himself. Still not trying to say he is some phenom, but it will be nice to have someone with that style hopefully fighting on the top level. That is how HW are supposed to move.

excellent post. Fury is one lithe cat for a guy his size.
