Tonight is everything I expect from Bradley.

    Tough

    Heart

    Sloppy

    Well rounded

    Found a way to win

That's what I expect from Bradley.

He just further confirmed what I have seen from him time and time again.

I know Pacquiao-Bradley had a significant amount of non effective punches from both ends, a lot of misses, but he's standing right in front of Manny and Pacquiao only managed to shake him up once.

Defensively, the only one you mentioned that I could agree with is Moreno, but Bradley defends better than him in the pocket because he can actually fight there.
      Ruslan disagrees

Yes Marquez was hit a bunch early in his fight with Kats..But Kat's is a horrible fighter let's be honest(great heart and fun,but not that good at all)..Diaz is another who touch Marquez up(a bunch),what about John Barrera??All these guys touch Marquez up..IMO I always thought Marquez was a very smart fight who could make tiny changes in his punch selection to become more effective..Never felt he was some defensive master or even that good tbh..Marquez is a counter puncher who get's hit and then can return fire..But keyword for him is he get's hit,consistently..Bradley never really get's the same punch landed on his twice, first time I've really seen it was in the Pac fight..Which was to be expected, being the fact that it's Pac...
        Ruslan also disagrees with this

He hit him with the same punch(s) a whole lot more than once or twice.

The right hand was landing over and over, as was the left hook.

He got tagged with the jab quite often too.

I'd probably agree he is average all round except his conditioning which is superb.

A fighter who does everything well but nothing great. His handspeeds probably a tad above average too actually.

After tonights performance I feel a guy like Lucas would stop him.

His conditioning is very good and he obviously works very hard but he was dead tired tonight, dead tired. He was pretty tired against Pacquaio also.

I agree with you and Tim though, and tonight just further confirms what I thought.

There is no area Bradley is excpetional in except heart, and conditioning.

His defense is so so far from exceptional.

Indeed I was thinking of this thread while watching that fight

He doesn't take punches averagely, he literally was hurt somewhere around 20 or more times.

                    analogy,

Bradley having to fight the other guy's fight and slug it out just to put himself in the shop window is like a fine violinist having to take his Stradivarius and play some cheesy pop tune to get paid.

it would be opportunistic for the individual who made this thread to claim last night's fight as reinforcement of his critique of Bradley's defensive abilities.
simply put, Bradley did not fight to the best of his defensive ability - he fought to impress himself upon the consciousness of the casual viewership, his promoter and any potential name opponents.

i will return to this thread with a lengthier missive.

                      True!

Bradley is the boxing version of tennis player David Ferrer. Had Bradley been a tennis player he'd be just like Ferrer:
