This is coming from the same guy who once said quote: "I would love to fight Sergio Martinez but I don't think it is possible because of the weight". Additionally, he went on to say quote: "Martinez's people say that he is a small middleweight and they are right. They say that if I go down to 160 then a fight could happen but I don't think that is possible."

So how is he able to come down to 160 and fight a natural Junior lightweight in Floyd Mayweather; When he has already stated that a natural welterweight in Sergio Martinez was too small and fighting him at that same weight would be impossible?

The way I see it, only they were true threat to Floyd.

Andre would slap that lil jealous hood rat around like Floyd beat his baby mama. He'd be hitting him with the back of his glove and Floyds own children would be cheering Dre on.

All u Floyd groupies that are here crying over Ward's challenge seem to be missing the point.. Andre clearly stated "He (Floyd) is the ONLY man I will come to 160 for", so stfu up about Martinez who would get his arse handed to him against Ward at any weight anyway. Then he goes on to add "He won't take the bait!", pretty much meaning he knows Floyd would never fight him. Like other posters have mentioned Floyd wouldn't fight Ward EVEN if he drained himself downed to 154.. Ward's boxing IQ is equal to Floyd's if not higher. The point Ward is trying to make is pretty easy to grasp.. Basically he's saying unless your willing to fight STFU!.. And yes it can happen, other boxers have come up from 135 to fight at middleweight in the past. Floyd can put on a lil weight at make 160 or close to it if he really wanted too.

A fighter must be good when the top fighter 3 divisions up calls him out and the fans see it as a fair one. I wonder if Ward will leave Oakland for it.

I guess Floyd is ducking Ward the way Ward likes to duck fighters who are good and closer to his own size like Bute and Martinez. If Ward wants to make a huge payday then let him go fight one of the heavyweight titleholder Klitschkos.

And your point? Both Sugar Ray's even Trinidad found their way to 160 pounds from 47. Hagler was a career m/w Ray Leonard had no problem climbing that mountain. But you may not be aware of the sport's history. I mean it'll never happen but don't act like it aint possible.

Sugar Ray and Trinidad started off @ 147!!!! Not 130!!!!! Floyd came up from 130!!!! Sugar Ray and Tito are naturally much bigger than Floyd. Their walk around weights were in the 170 range while Floyd's is 150ish which means he can easily make 140 if he wanted to.
