Fully expect Floyd to coast out the rest of his career. He is slowing down, he knows it and so does everyone else. Floyd will deny it till he bleeds from his ears, but deep down he knows it.

Ward is simply too big and too good. I believe Ward said what he did simply out of pride and frustration. He knows Floyd would never fight him. I also think Floyd should apologize but we know that will never happen either.

It is possible Zab and Floyd were tight then had a falling out but are on decent terms now.

Point blank I think Ward is saying this is because there will be no repercussions, and it is getting his name out there. It is just smart business, it is also possible that this is all a work and the are laughing talking on the phone each night because it all seems very staged.

Ward is calling out a 5-8, 147 pounder.

I have zero interest in watching a chubby Floyd and a drained Ward "settle their score".

Floyd will not be "chubby", he'll come in at 155 at the least in the weigh in.

Ward, however, could be seriously weight drained.

Which is why I wouldn't even see this as a cherrypick for Ward. Like I said before, Ward would be Dead on Arrival, while Floyd would put on a couple more pounds of muscle than he did for Cotto and be good.

If any of you are concerned about this, it shouldn't be for Floyd. How many times has history shown us the guy that goes down is the one who's trouble, not the other way around? Floyd won't be the one starving himself and training to lose weight. Remember that. As much water weight Ward wants to put on fight night, it will not be healthy weight.

So what about his belt at Welterweight, what about his next fight at Welterweight? Are those some how irrelevant.

He can fight at Jr Middleweight, that does not make him a natural Jr Middleweight.

When he wins a belt two times at Jr middle, it makes him a two time Jr middleweight champion. If he can't hang with the big boys, he shouldn't go into their rooms flapping his lips.
