would Mosley at his pomp have allowed lil' Floyd to mentally intimidate him so much (between the ropes)? probably not. Mosley of some years earlier, in the event of finding himself out-timed/techniqued, would have put up fiercer resistance, been braver, would have just punched and been committed to his punches, wouldn't have been so easily cowed into indecision. the difference was mental more than physical, imo (when Mosley would throw later on against Mayweather, the issue wasn't so much that fatigue had taken from his punches, but rather that there was no commitment to the punches to begin with).

Mayweather's grit wasn't something that needed to be proven in 2010, btw. for example, certain folk use the first Castillo fight as a stick to beat Mayweather with, but i often wonder if those people have ever watched the fight, being that there is substantially more in that arguable defeat to praise him with than to discredit him. prior to round 11 of a gruelling, wearying fight, Roger tells Floyd he needs to stop moving and stand in with Castillo - after 30 seconds or so of the round, Floyd stops moving, settles in the pocket and begins infighting with the bigger, stronger, harder-hitting Castillo (Castillo's game), ultimately winning the exchange. there were questions over Mayweather's grit in 2010? bah.Last edited by S. For all the Floyd fans, who always ask why he isn't more liked, it's shit like this. Seriously, hate on Ward because he's rooting for Guerrero? Or because he's ON your level as a fighter? If we are all children of God, why do you insist on calling yourself Money? Anyone is free to call themselves that, that you don't is on you, not Ward.

I can understand why Floyd is mad, Minutes before that big Kessler fight while Andre was warming up in the changing rooms who was on the loud speaker encouraging him and giving him advice? yep FLOYD MAYWEATHER, it was on the second episode of the super 6 documentaries, Floyd didn't have to take the time out of his day to do that, but he did, he was saying, "go out there and be intelligent, this is your time" etc, and for Andre to openly come out like that and go against him was fecking ****** imo.
Look i know Robert is meant to be his boy and all but there's a way of being diplomatic, all he needed to say is, "i grew up with Robert, he's a good friend and i wish him all the best, we all know how good Floyd is and i think it's gonna be a great fight", thats it, then no feelings would have been put out of place, but Andre seemed desperate to make the whole world know that he's rooting against Floyd,
In closing what Floyd said about Ward was spot on, kid is very talented but he couldn't sell a cake to a fat kid.

@ people suggesting that Ward should have remained neutral, and shouldn't have voiced his opinion just so he can remain "cool" with Floyd. Grow some balls ffs. Ward doesn't need Floyd whatsoever. Ward is his own man.

With all the hate Floyd gets, you'd think he'd shrug off this honest opinion (with no disrespect intended might I add) and move on. Then again, when has he ever? What, Ward can't root for his boy because he's fighting him? If that's the case, then that's some ****ed up sense of entitlement. And sure Ward calling himself "Son of God" can raise a few eyebrows in a "uh we're ALL a child of God in his eyes" sort of way, but in the end he's a grown ass man and can use whatever nickname he wants (okay not just ANY nickname, but you get it), so it's not Floyd's problem. There was no need for the whole "God doesn't pick sides, men beat others then worship on Sunday, etc." lecture. Does Ward pray to God to annihilate an opponent? Did Ward ever step in the ring and claim to be a pastor? Does he have to be? And what the hell does Broner, not a lot of people knowing Ward is a medalist, and how much tickets are sold and money made have to do with anything?
Long story short, Floyd's talking out of his ass on this one and he may be oversensitive about something
