I mean, Floyd does have a point...has a blue sky ever sold as many PPVs as him? Has the sky ever headlined a PPV? The sky better get the **** back in line.

Shane practically grew up alongside ODLH and at one time had an exciting style so I'm sure there could have been a bleeding effect of sorts with a lot of Oscar's fans adopting Shane. Also remember that even though Shane has done well in the sport he has never really been a true A-side kind of PPV attraction.

If Berto happened to be more popular than Ward it's a negligible difference at best. Berto has had big crowds, and then there have been times where Merchant would mention all of the empty seats.

Generally I get what you're saying though.

Floyd is right. Andre Ward is treated like he's some classy hero and everyone needs to get off his ****. And enough of this "I don't want to fight you cause you're my friend" bull****.

The sky gets bruised up by clouds all the time. You ever seen Floyd Mayweather marked up that bad? Money's face is always clean.

Why are pages of posts devoted to to whether Floyd knows or doesn't know who Andre Ward is?

It's self-explanatory you dimwits. If he knows that Ward's nickname is S.O.G, that he fights out of Oakland, and that he won a Gold Medal; then it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he knows who he is.

Floyd saying that he doesn't who someone is, is the equivalent of UK/British fans chanting, "who are ya!!!, Who are ya!!!, Who are ya!!!", which Floyd should know all about, since they did it to him when he was promoting the Hatton fight.

But Floyd has had something against Ward for a while. He criticized him for bringing Dawson down in weight back in September. Might have to do with Ward being his biggest threat to replace him as the pound for pound king. Plus he's on record praising Dawson numerous times.
I think Floyd's relationship with Dawson is what made him initially talk down on wards victory. That being said, I don't think he really said anything wrong. Though the tone was very negative, what he said is right on. He basically said ward is a good fighter but he is underpaid for his talents. He's wondering why ward isn't selling out venues and making big boy ppv money because he has real talent. Sounds like a compliment as to where he thinks wards skills are. I wouldnt be surprised if this was Floyd's pitch to get ward to mayweather promotions. The man always thinks business. Who better to have than the #2 p4p guy.

I agree. People seem to have a problem with everything about Floyd which is clearly THEIR PERSONAL PROBLEM!!!! The problem with Ward is he has to dare to be great because there is nobody in and around his weight that can make him great which is unfortunate for him. Andre will never be considered truly great unless he does something out of the norm like going for a heavy-wt title. Roy did it, Mike Spinks did it, Evander did it,etc. won't be easy but other than that it's agree on a catch weight for Gennady or Martinez which still won't make him an all time great. People seem to forget that Floyd came up from 130 beating all the top dawgs they put in front of him and is still unbeaten. Intelligent fight people have no choice but to compare him to the All Time Greats.
