I do and have felt this way for a while.

I've said it once and I'll say it again; Outside of Roy Jones in his prime, Ward is the only fighter that I have seen that I felt was close to unbeatable.

Mayweather has never giving me that impression at all. In fact all he has to do is fight Martinez at 154 and he will get his @ss KO'd.

At this point in their career yes ward is above floyd imo

Overall is he p4p better? No

I dont like how ward only fights in cali and draining dawson though

You know what is funny, I used to not stand Floyd but after being on this website for the past few years I have become a fan. The hate he gets towards him is amazing. He is a great fighter and no matter what he does people will hate him. smh

Yeah Ward was definitely ducking Anthony Dirrell. That's why he obviously went the easy route with Kessler, Froch, Dawson etc.

BTW Dawson called out Andre Ward and said he wanted him at 168 right after the Bernard Hopkins fight.

My only take from this is that Floyd is saying that he "don't really know" meaning, he doesn't know Ward on a personal level all like that. Sure he knows who he is, but doesn't mean he "knows" them.

That's what I thought that meant. Me and Floyd could take a picture in a parking lot, spit 2 minutes of boxing talk and be on our merry ways, he might know my name afterwards, but he doesn't know me.

Other than that...I took nothing away, other than perhaps he feels Ward and Co. are poorly managed

^^^^ This guy gets it. Of course he knows who Ward is, he just doesn't know him like that, on a personal level. I don't think they're friends like Ward and B-Hop. Most boxers cross paths at some point and stop for a photo op, but doesn't mean they're close like that, just business.

But I do wish Ward would leave Oakland. Floyd doesn't leave Vegas, but let's be honest guys Vegas is the Mecca of Boxing. He's already fighting on the largest stage for boxing, what's the point of going elsewhere unless the money and promotion is right? Vegas brings out the stars, which can't be said for a lot of other boxing venues. If Ward would fight more in Vegas, he could be an even bigger star. Mayweather may diss these guys but if you read between the lines and not react like a hater, you'll see some truth in his statements.

Ward is a the type of fighter Floyd will never be. A guy who faces the best and doesn't use excuses to duck fighters.


That's why Floyd is mad....along with the fact that Ward picked Guerrero over him.


Williams, Margarito, Pacquiao, Johnston and the list goes on....are several fighters that Floyd flat out refused to fight. Now looking at Ward....this guy will fight anyone and is what the sport needs right now.

Me criticizing him for fighting his first fights in Oakland during the SS tourney doesn't take away from him as a fighter and his accomplishments.....but good job trying to deflect,
