But gauging his size in comparison to even the Featherweight he was sparring was kinda crazy, then I look at Donaire and I'm like "Damn..." Rigo also was getting clipped with left hooks that weren't nearly as fast as Donaire's.

Rigo's downfall as a Pro (and going into a fight with Donaire) is he is very reluctant to let his hands go, and a lot of that comes from his amateur pedigree. I can see Donaire landing hard shots on him as he starts to see he's losing the fight, maybe he'll turn it up...but he clearly won't be at an advantage. Another scenario is he feels a hard shot from Donaire and flees for the rest of the fight (which is very possible).

I like both fighters and have only seen Rigo train and fight live, but even me being half Cuban...I don't think Rigo is going to stand up to Donaire's shots based on how he's taking the same punch from fighters with much less power than Donaire, because Donaire WILL land, believe that.
I believe this fight will hinge on how well Rigo can withstand Nonito's power. I agree, Donaire will land at some point -- twelve rounds is a long time not to get hit -- however, it would have to be a Montiel-type hook to take Guillermo out. I don't see that happening, if only because Nono obviously doesn't land one of those in every fight, or even close to it. My guess is that Donaire will land very few good shots during the fight. Guillermo isn't unhittable, but he's very hard to hit. Whatever does land won't be enough to take Rigo out, in my opinion.

I am willing to bet on this. What say you to a 30 billion point bet that Donaire does not KO Rigo?

When I look at some of the negitive posts on Rigondeaux I realise that a lot of fers here really don't understand boxing and are taken in by smoke and mirrows. Rigondeaux is a class act the only concern I have for him going into this fight is how he copes if and when Donair clips him on the temple other than that I can only see a nightmare night for Donair who is nowhere near him in boxing ability but does have phenominal power.

Although I do respect what your saying I don't believe that his defence is all that its cracked up to be, and his footwork is good, but all he can do is go in straight lines, he has absolutely no lateral movement from waht I've seen so far in his fights or training.

That is going to feed into Donaire's timing which I believe is better than Rigondeaux's, I truly believe that Nonito is going to KO him, brutally, I'd bet my house on it.

I forgot to emphasized this! TIMING! I said in my Darchinyan prediction. That's what donaire did with most of his KO Victims. Rigo will be Clocked!

Donaire will land! Believe it! Don't under estimate Donaire skills! He's undefeated for 10 yrs straight against PROS!

I compare his PRO skills to Floyds! Rigo? I don't know!! His got skills, but I already seen too much Flaws already in his short career!

Dan is super-sold on Rigo. He's all in, a true believer, sticking his neck out on this one. You've gotta respect that. Me, I believe Guillermo is a rare talent, but someone that might've, sadly, spent too much time in the amateurs. "El Chacal" has had to move extremely quickly through the ranks. He hasn't had a chance to truly evolve. You can still see him evolving as of his last fight. It's a very tall order to defeat one of the top P4P fighters in only your twelfth pro fight. It's a testament to Rigo's abilities that I even consider him capable of pulling the upset. Don't be surprised if we see a rematch-worthy fight.

It is very well Donaire hits hard, his defense isn't very good can he take Rigondeaux's best shots? He is not only lightning fast but he is so precise. Watch him box, he rarely hits anybody with a glancing shot, they're all on the money. It is pretty scary.
                Hes got some pop himself!
How is Donaire going to react to a perfectly placed livershot? The guys barely been tested to the body his whole career when he has, hes shown he can be hurt.
Its all very well you nitpicking Rigondeaux getting hit with 3 shots over 24 rounds.

Rigo's timing is as good as it gets. He might not hurt Donaire but hes going to catch him off balance all night, hes going to catch him when he squares up.

Rigondeaux is the definition of a sniper. Any mistakes he will make you pay!

Teon Kennedy - Not a great fighter but like Emmanuel Steward said; He wasn't doing anything wrong.

You can call me a nuthugger or whatever man, I've gone against my favourite fighters many times but I recognise talent when I see it and I truly believe Rigondeaux is too skilled. Hes got too many tools for a rather limited guy like Donaire.

Skills: Mayweather > Rigondeaux > Donaire. They're all skilled, but there are simply degrees.

                    Rigondeaux hasn't lost since 1998 I believe, 15 years.
What flaws do you see in Rigo except hes apparently open for a counter left hook?

This isn't shot to bits Arce coming to drop his hands and let Donaire hit him so he can hurry up and collect a pay cheque and retire.
