    That doesn't count for anything?

Salido is a good fighter but him being the top dog is because the talents moved out and its dry. I never thought highly of Lopez.
Strong guy, hes game, strong puncher, about all.

The fact Salido was the #1 guy says a lot for the division. Most of his losses was early in his career but it doesn't take away the fact he had 11 losses. He'd lost 20-25% of his fights.

Its a poor division, it is what it is.

You'll understand why I said that and you will no longer be blinded. You'll see what I've always seen in Rigondeaux.

If Rigondeaux was a black American he would be hailed as the second coming of Pernell Whitaker!

Go study his footwork, his reflexes, his defense, speed, accuracy, timing, counterpunching ability you'll realise what I said is true.

I don't have to tell you his achievements, they speak for themselves.

What Rigo is, is a damn good body puncher, counter puncher, can throw every punch in the book with good coordination, great footwork, good power, but he's predominantly a mid range counter puncher. He doesn't box like a Pernell and he doesn't sit in the pocket neither, he hasn't shown any of that.

Good post, nice to see somebody can appreciate his tremendous skillset. He probably isn't as skilled as Sweetpea, very few if any fighter in history is/was.

He hasn't shown a fair bit of his game in the pro ranks, I don't feel hes had too tbh

nailed it. more or less the same thing i started to type before truncating to the two lines i posted above to save myself the wasted effort.

Dan really doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. he describes one-sided stoppage victories as "life and death" battles and claims that young fighters with no championship experience are "feasting" on soft touches when they step up to face quality titlists.

Dan constantly praises the body punching of Rigo. tell you what, Rigo is nowhere near the body surgeon Whitaker was. that guy knew how to carve up a torso.

how was Mikey "feasting" on Salido? that was a significant step up for any fighter at his stage of competitive progression, an excellent opponent for a young pro's first title challenge.

is he really relying solely on bringing up Salido's losses to discredit him? really?

this guy's gonna get a shock about Rigo.

Hes had 3 times the fights Rigondeaux has, look at his opposition.
You'll soon downplay Rigo's yet you big up Mikeys, laughable though I know the mighty Salido is held in ultra high regard on here.

He beat Salido, lets keep it real and stop going on like Salido is this animal he isn't. Hes a good, honest, tough pro and nothing more.

The most precise, not saying the best, but his precision to the body is the best I've seen. I was gonna make a highlight on his body punching but I'm too lazy.
