Ok. Who could he fight at 147 that people on here would not call a cherry pick? The only people worth fighting are top rank fighters and that wont happen. So for Floyd, 147 will be cleaned out after Guerrero. After Floyd beat de la Hoya and hatton, who was left for Floyd to fight that wasn't top rank?

Please don't hive me the top rank excuses. If Floyd wanted to be remembered as the greatest lime you said he would have made concessions to ensure certain fights happened. Floyd wants to be remembered as the richest, that's it.

respectfully, what professional do you know that has given up money to make a "more challenging" fight that pays less?

i don't think it's just about making concessions.

and that particular issue doesn't apply only to Floyd. how many of TRI's names and GBP's names have been getting together period?

i mean, boxing fans thirsted for Mayweather-Cotto back in early 2008, for instance. but Mayweather wasn't the only party who lacked interest in the fight. Bob already had his schedule for Cotto planned out and Cotto made no particular noises to the effect of wanting to fighting Mayweather, just talked about fighting for the company and so forth.

i'm critical of Mayweather's body of work to an extent. it's not wholly satisfying, we haven't seen him tested to the degrees we'd like to see an ATG tested. that said, one does have to make some allowances for the climate. not to say that we give him credit for winning fantasy fights, but that we don't put it all on his shoulders for certain fights not happening.

My man, greatness isn't achieved in the moment but after the fact, so cleaning out a division can only help his all time status. You say the only people worthwhile to fight are with Top Rank. I disagree. Beating all the best is what makes a great resume. You seem intelligent enough that I don't need to name all the great fighters in history who have done this.

Its not that my friend. The kid is already beyond rich. If he were in it to be the greatest as "The904star" suggested he would be willing to take a little less for lesser fights and clean out the division. I don't blame him for going after the money, but its very difficult to do that and beat everybody.

Hard to believe more than 21% give Floyd only a 0-10% chance of actually fighting toe to toe. Im no Floyd fan but I think thats pretty unrealistic given his recent outings and who he will be fighting. I fact, the more I think about it the more chance I give him of fighting that way, especially if he decided to make an example of Guerrero, who won't be able to hurt him.

Interesting voting to say the least.

It is not impossible to make Floyd fight (even better versions just most guys don't like that outcome), I certainly think Guerrero is good enough to make Floyd fight. Now will that be toe to toe, Floyd is usually more aggressive against southpaws so I guess that is possible it might even be a good way to approach Guerrero who probably thinks Floyd will move away.

I don't think it will be a straight toe to toe fight, it will be at times though.

I agree with this. No fighter with Floyds skill is going to fight toe to toe the entire time, but I think he'll do it more than many are thinking.
