Who's the smarter fighter? Hopkins or Floyd?

I think Floyd is the smarter BOXER and the the better FIGHTER.

If you don't know what I mean by that, go watch some tapes.

Floyd is the smarter man. Because he's found a way to fool the majority of the boxing public into believing he's 1 of the greatest fighters without taking many risks.

Bernard Hopkins is the smarter fighter & the greater fighter & he's proven it by taking more risk & showing it against greater fighters than Floyd has.

20 years from now I'm sure this will be noted. B-Hop is a great fighter, the greatest active fighter & we're just waiting for him to retire. He's halfway through the door to the hof already.

        The smarter fighter/boxer: Floyd.
        The craftier fighter/boxer: B-Hop.
The craftiest & soon to be the smarter figher/boxer: Andre Ward.
The smarter figher after Ward: Mikey Garcia.

LOL. Good answer. I'd have Bradley somewhere in the mix, but he headbutts way too much.

            Definitely a tough question.

I think Mayweather is the more gifted and athletic of the two meaning Hopkins has less to work with yet performed to the same standard in his prime. Which could be said Hopkins is the more skilled and smarter of the two.

Me personally? I'd lean on Mayweather.

Both Hopkins and Mayweather are two of the most well rounded fighters the sport has seen though. And their longevity shows how crafty they both are.

Is this a trick question? ....it's obviously Floyd duh. Floyd is obviously the smarter fighter here, when a fight is to dangerous Floyd know its not good for him. He'll duck and dodge, whatever it takes...even retiring to get pass by. Nard on the otherhand is close to ******ed you could say...there were many fights where they were no good for him but he took them like he doesn't know a jack ****.

If by smartest you mean, craftiest, trickiest and best able to get inside guys heads and make them fight his fight so he can beat fighters who are faster, stronger, younger and fitter ... then it's hopkins.

If you mean who is smarter at cherry picking the best opponents at the right time in their careers so he can make the most money with the least risk, then it's floyd.
