For reasons I already outlined to you in two posts now. Not everything is shock value.

When it comes to B-Hop, "He has nothing to prove! How dare you even bring up a test in front of Lord B-Hop's presence?"

You see where the double standard lies?

Everything in context, not shock value. So lets try it again. Manny was accused because of his uncanny ability to jump up in weight and beat down bigger opponents. That's how it started. Then observations were made about his physique and ability (i.e. he throws 1000 punches, his chin has gotten better, he is never getting tired, his ab's etc,.). This is not an issue with Hopkins as Light-Heavy is his natural weight (he could've moved up from 160 years ago), he doesn't win based on high work rate, his physique is declining.

There are no double standards. You are trying to concoct shock value that shouldn't exist.

P.S. I said I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Stop bothering me, and go choke on B-Hop's nuts.
This is a public thread. You make a post, be prepared for rebuttals. That's how it works. Nobody is bothering you. You don't wanna respond, then stop. Keep responding, and I will keep educating you in a calm, cool way.

You're coming off as a psychotic B-Hop fan.

Contain and control, that's my pet peeve on here. It's post-fight night and before any "hopkins is on PED's" or "Hopkins is boring" consensus start spreading, I will jump in and contain it, before it spreads and gets too big like a wild fire.

Some enjoy circle jerking each other, I enjoy the debate.

Ok Mr. "calm and cool". You're arguing with 3-5 different posters, and throwing a hissy fit anytime someone mentions Hopkins and roids. Stop playing kid.

Also, onto your Pac and Hopkins comparisons. The only person that started the Pac and PED's rumors were the Mayweathers. Floyd Sr. to be exact. It was cool to ask for tests then right? Floyd wanted the test, and Manny refused the first go around, so he got criticized for it. Which is fair.

Same goes for Hopkins. Pascal accused him of being on roids, and wanted him to take a test. Agains, PASCAL wanted him to take a test. Not his father. Not his uncle. The actual guy that was about to fight him wanted him to take the test. The guy that actually has to get in the ring with him. Why couldn't Hopkins oblige, and shut him up???

Oh that's right. "He had no right to ask for testing!!!" Even though he's the one that's going in the ring with him. SMDH.

Bias ass fool. And how am I using "shock value" you psychotic B-Hop fan? I'm using examples.

Like I said before. Calm yo nerves child.

P.S. Stop acting like I started this thread.

Are we seeing the same fighter? Hopkins is slower, throws less punches, has lost pop in his punches and looks softer. The only real thing I have noticed about Hopkins is the refinement in his boxing style. Theres no wasted motion and every punch is short and to the point. Unless he found some secret PED that increases his timing I seriously doubt it.

You're confusing hissy fit with regular ol rebuttal. If I was throwing a hissy fit like some of you ladies, you would see it by bad grammar. I will not address any further strawman, ad-homimen's. It's settled. Lets stick to the topic.

You're still failing to connect the dots. The reason there is a difference is because of PUBLIC SENTIMENT. Key words. Public sentiment got to Pacquiao. It was no longer just Floyd and his ****** Uncle, the vast majority of fans out there were accusing him of Roids. It back fired on him. It went from "Floyd ducking" to "Take the Test".

This did not happen to Hopkins. There is no PUBLIC SENTIMENT that he needs to take a test. Major difference. Not everything is black and white.

          Same goes for Hopkins.
No, it really doesn't. Read the above.

Never mind the fact that he didn't have to. But now that you asked that last question? Maybe because the contracts were already signed and in place, and it was too late for PED testing anyway, and Pascal was just talking for publicity reasons, trying to turn PUBLIC SENTIMENT (remember those words; see above) against Hopkins. Public sentiment of an honest, hard working gym rat who is crafty and a legend to, "Maybe he is cheating now that Pascal said it". Except it didn't work like it worked on Manny because (as already mentioned) observation tells any fan that Hopkins hasn't gotten better athletically, only worse.

He had the right. And maybe he should've asked for testing before he signed a contract. Instead of running his mouth after everything was signed, to drum up PUBLIC SENTIMENT, so he has a built in excuse after he loses (which he did).

            you nailed it.

that's why guys are wasting their time crying 'double-standard'. while i refuse to consider JMM a cheater without proof of such, it's possible to build up a somewhat interesting circumstantial case against him, even if it was completely unscrupulous for HBO to do so publically. with Hopkins, the case is pathetically insubstantial.

You're logic on the Pacquiao/Hopkins situation fails.

There was no public sentement until Floyd Sr. came out with his comments. Thus, people jumping on the band wagon. You also fail to realize Floyd vs. Pacquiao is a main stream fight. Even casuals know about the fight. If you get it out to enough people, people are going to talk about it.

Only die hard boxing fans knew about Hopkins/Pascal, thus the public sentement not being there. Not to mention on a die hard boxing message board like NSB, the majority of posters are Hopkins fans. There is no divide like Pacquiao and Floyd. Thus not a public outcry to take a test.

P.S. Yes you are throwing a hissy fit. Call it what you want, but usually when you write up a multiple paragraph rebutall, that means you're a bit ticked off.

Like I said before. Calm yo nerves child.

P.S. When I said I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, that should have been your cue to calm yo nerves child. I didn't even want to take sides, but you're the one that's being a butt hurt little kid.

Again. You sound like a psychotic B-Hop fan. Ease up off the nuts.

I'm suspecting all athletes of taking PED's.

People being sure that a guy is clean have no idea what they're talking about.
People saying a guy is on PED's have no idea what they're talking about.

Truth is nobody can know what a fighter or athlete in any sport is doing in his bathroom right now. And believe me PEDs are present in EVERY sport where big bucks are at stake

and this is what i mean by the case against Hopkins being so pathetically insubstantial.

                    just to restate,

that's why guys are wasting their time crying 'double-standard'. while i refuse to consider JMM a cheater without proof of such, it's possible to build up a somewhat interesting circumstantial case against him, even if it was completely unscrupulous for HBO to do so publically.

the case against Hopkins = Pascal pulled random PED accusations out of his ass and Hopkins refused to dignify it.

there's a difference. and to deny it is silly.

that said, HBO are still epic ****S for what they did to JMM.
